"Thanks, Carter." Lucy smiled at me.

I lean further back in the chair. "So, what school do you come from?"

"Virtual School"

I rock back and forth in my chair. "Oh really, I've never heard of that school before."

She giggled. "That because the school is on the computer; I'm homeschooled."

I stop rocking in my chair and thought about what she just said. 'Did I just make a fool of myself in front of this girl?'

I was too focused on the little mistake that I made myself look like a bigger fool. My chair slowly fell backward and I was destined to fall flat on my back. luckily, I realized that I was falling and I grasped at the art table for dear life. I pulled me and the chair up till all legs were on the ground.

'If I was a second too late, my head would be in pain right now,' I thought.

"It looks like acting cool isn't your style,"  said Lucy.

"Well, it's not like I was trying to-"

"Yeah, he was." said an all too familiar voice.

I closed my eyes and let out a long sigh. "No, I wasn't Noah."

Noah Standford. He was wearing a salmon pink shirt, navy blue shorts, and black sneakers. He has some weight to him, enough to consider him chubby. If you met him at first, he seemed like a nice kid. However, that doesn't mean he didn't make trouble. When I first came to West Bay Youth, Noah was one of my many friends at the center. We used to joke around and have fun. But after a while, he started using me for his personal gain. He wanted to make himself look better than everyone else. Which meant him always starting a fight or argument with someone over the littlest of things or doing thing that was outright stupid to gain attention. After I got in trouble with my mom for not finishing my homework and being warned by the teachers many times about our behavior I decided it was time to separate from him. It was either him or my parents and I think I chose the right choice. I hanged out with him less often until he left me alone. We still talk but every now and then, but I kept my distance from the troublemaker. So why of all times does he chose to butt in now?

'Probably because he thinks he can sweep Lucy off her feet' I thought. 'This isn't a world of anime, it takes more than some slick moves to get a girl to like you.'

"So what were you saying, Lucy?" I said completely ignoring Noah's interruption like it never happened.

"Oh, all I was going to say was its ok to think I when to an actual virtual school." She said taking her sunglasses off. "Its fine actually Noah did the same thing."

Noah was making some kind of joke while looking like he was the best at playing pool. Trying to impress Lucy and get a chance to look down her shirt. While he was looking at her boobs, I was looking at something else. As soon as she took her glasses off I was mesmerized by her eye color. She had beautiful brown topaz eyes that fit well with her warm blond hair. This girl is too good to be true. She looks a model off a magazine.

'She is just full of surprises isn't she?' I thought.

However, before I could ask Lucy more questions, the teen door opened again.

I looked up from the table. "Who can that be? Another newcomer?" I said to myself.

"Hey, Curtis how's it goin?"

My face instantly lit up.

"It's going good, Brad"

Brad Cocks. He wore a dark blue polo with navy blue shorts and his red Beats headphones around his neck. I didn't know much about him except that he was funny, watched youtube, and absolutely loved memes. He was also new to the center. Brad had only come here two weeks ago with his big sister and was already accustomed to the WBY. When he came here, the first thing he did was show me memes, funny videos, and cracked jokes. Ever since then, he was another one of my many friends at the West Bay Youth.
