Summertime noun
The season or period of summer.
"in summertime trains run every ten minutes"
However, that's what google says "summertime" is. For me summertime is me going to the beach, sleeping in, writing stories without interruption, and having fun with my neighbor Blake and his little brother Mike.
To me, summertime is where I relax.
"I wonder if she's up today?" I say stretching.
Waking up at 8 seems counterproductive to sleeping in, but I'm a morning person. And if I have something to be done then I'm up doing it. However, the real reason I get up so early is because of her.
Yeah, Yeah! I know what you might say 'how sweet' or 'your creepy', but seriously who can blame me. If you have a number of girl your interested in, you text her. Besides, after the day I got here number: we talked almost everyday. I ask her a question, Then she'd ask me a question. I crack a pun, she would laugh. And on and on the cycle would continue. As we talked more, my heart began to yearn for something or perhaps someone...
"I'll just text her when I'm over Blake's house," I said putting on my shoes before running out the door.

"I'm getting better at throwing, cut me some slack," I said to blake throwing him the football.
The ball was way off course, but Blake still caught it. "'Getting better at throwing ' my ass."
He throw the ball back to me and I caught it. My phone buzzed in my pants pocket.
"Wait a sec, I got to answer this." I said throwing the ball back to Blake and taking a seat on his porch. It was a Lucy.
I must have been sitting there for awhile cause after a couple minutes later, Blake tapped my shoulder. I whipped my head around to see he looking over my shoulder at my phone.
"Who you talking to?" he said with a curious smile
Now don't take my buddy, Blake, as the wrong kind of guy. He weightliftings, has 10 times more muscle mass than I'll ever have, and physically fit. To be frank, he's an all-around handsome, funny young man. However, when dealing with friends and girls he lacks in those categories. But I don't judge him on that. Besides I would be the same way if I was treated like an outcast at school. I believe I became his neighbor for good reason. To show him something that every kid should have at least once in their life. Friendship. And I'm glad that I became his friend, I've never had this much fun during my summer vacation. Thanks to him, he made my summer more... memorable.
"Oh I'm just talking to a girl I meet at the youth center."He crossed his arms. "Oh really? You like her?"
I look up at the sky."Yeah"
"You want to fuck her?"
I look at him with the disgusted face. " WHAT! No!"
He looked at me confused."But isn't that what you want to do to her?"
I looked away. I couldn't deny it. Yes, I thought about having sex with her, but i want to get to know her first, take her out places, have a relationship with her. Sex was the last thing on my mind.
"Yes I've thought about it before, but I don't see her as a way for me to lose my virginity I see her as a nice young woman that I would like to get to know."
He looked at me. "That's exactly what a person would say if they wanted to have sex."
I was starting to get annoyed, but I decided not to make it a big deal out of it.
"Lets just drop the subject and play some football, ok Blake?"

I walk back into my own home at 10. My body still sore from playing football for so long, but I still had fun. My feet were sore from run all day and my head ached from the lack of edibles. However, even though I in pain what Blake said made me think. My phone ran again. It was Lucy. I decided it was time to ask her in the only way I knew: texting.
*So are you going anywhere next week*
Lucy : *Nope*
I gather any courage left in my soul and typed...
*Well if you want...would you like to go to the beach*
I wait a little while for her reply then I get an idea.
*If I remembered correctly you said it would be a good idea for us to go to the beach*
A minute later i got my answer.
Lucy : *Yeah I would like that*
A smile grew on my face.
*Yeah I knew you would*
*So when do you want to go*
Lucy : *Uuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhh*
I thought about what would be a great time for us to go to the beach. Then it clicked.
*How about next Wednesday*
Lucy : *Yeah that sounds good*
Then I had another great idea.
*If you want you can come to beach close to my house*
Lucy : *Yeah whats your adress*
I look it up and I typed...
*3347 Coventry Court, Panama City*
We continue talking and joking until the clock reached 10. I washed up and knelt down to god and prayed to whatever god that was listening.
"Howdy, thanks for giving me a great life and a beautiful girl to make it even better. I just hope it's not a Fanta Sea."
