My Cliche

Good news

'So how do I tell her?' I thought to myself as I walked down the street to the park

I pulled my phone out and looked at the past messages that I sent. As far as I'm concerned, she must have forgotten about me or she just doesn't have time to get to the phone cause its been awhile since I've talked to her.

"But that can't be true, she has to be really heartless to do that to me." I say to myself. "I sure she forgot her phone somewhere." 

I continue to walk down the street until I reach the Blue Bay Park. It wasn't anything special. Just a couple of trees, an old playground, and a miserable set of volleyball courts. It's only use was for first kisses and for bums. However every now and then, a skinny black kid would walk to the park and sit in the only bench. And from there he would think about his life, but today would be different. Completely different.

*ring* *ring*

I pull my phone out of my pocket and see that Lucy just texted me.

"Well, ok then universe. I you want me to talk to her so badly."

I unlock my phone and view her message.

CARTER I FOUND MY PHONE!!!!
1. HAPPY BIRTHDAY >3
2. WHAT SCHOOL DO YOUU GO TO!?!
3. I MISSED YOU ALOT!!!!

I smile. "Well it's good to see she's happy and she remembered my birthday, too! Awww, how sweet of her and of course I miss you, Lucy, life is pretty sad without ya." I said out loud, not caring if anyone was listening or watching.

AND I MISSED YOU TOO!! ;)

'Alright, Carter all you gotta do is tell her.' I thought, but before i could say anything Lucy texted me back.

YAY!!
BUT WHAT ABOUT QUESTION 2.

I raise an eyebrow as I look at the second question. "Why would she want to know that? Well, only one way to find out." I begin texting my response.

IM GOING TO THE SAME HIGH SCHOOL!!!!!!!

I froze as I looked over the text over and over again till I danced in excitnment. "Yahooo! She's coming to my school this friday! This is the best day ever!" 

After dancing for 20 minutes. I looked at my phone again and texted Lucy with a broad smile on my face full of joy.

YAY!!!

YEAH!!!! IM GOING TO THE SAME SCHOOL WELL WE'RE GOING TO THE SAME SCHOOL
MY MOM GOT ME IN

Hey i'm sorry for not going to your party

My smile falls a little. "Oh, yeah. My party."

I lean my head back on the bench and look into the oak tree leafs. It was a while back, but I still had a birthday party.  Some of my friends and I went out to dinner and even back to the beach to the amusement park. It was a blast, but it would have been better If she was there. But I'm a relaxed kind of guy (at least I think I am), so I would hold it against her.

*Carter shakes his head and smiles* You coming to my school! Now you get to see the famous Carter S in action

*looking up and down* what can you do in action. 

I visited the school but just the office buut maybe two great guys whoo have names that start with letter C & L would give me a tour around the school

I burst in laughter. "This can't be happening! This is fantastic! Ha,ha! She coming to my school!" I quietly read the rest of the text. "Ooooh. Well Houston, we have a problem." I say as i text my response to Lucy.

Oh, logan doesn't go to my school. He goes to BAY HIGH

Ohhhhhhhhh pooor dude

I still want to meet him

I think for a minute before I answer. Then it clicks, I remember he saying that he would play for the football team. So I type up a plan.

When the football season kicks off, I'll take you to game when we are going against Bay High so you see him

"Aaand, send."

I sit and wait patiently for Lucy to answer.

Okay

Carter you're amazing really you are i am soo sorry for not being the greatest back

"Oh, Lucy..." I say as I shake my head.

Its ok Lucy *Carter hugs Lucy* i forgive you

You remembering to say Happy Birthday to me when you found your phone shows me you care.

Yeah I just feel bad

And i wanted to see you in the summer break but the universe said !NO!

Well now we are at the same school where you can see me everyday

I guess this is the universe's way of saying !YES!

But on school days

I shrug. "True."

We soon talked for hours both by text then on the phone. I even had to help her with the dress code the school enforces and the type of clothes she can wear. It was only when I closed my eyes to sleep, when i remembered my true reason to talk to her. 

"Great. Now how am I going to tell her."

I sigh as I turn in my bed. "I just have to tell her in person, then. Well at least she will be coming to my school. That was a surprise I never saw coming."

I close my eyes once again where I give the most beautiful of dreams: Me, in a red swavy suit, and Lucy, in a sparkling purple dress, dancing to the pace of slow romantic music. I look into her eyes and she looks into mine. Then I whisper softly in Lucy's ear, "I love you." She looks at me and says "I love you, too."

It was my greatest dream and most of all...my favorite.
