"I'm open" Bryan yelled to Lance. Lance passed the ball to Bryan as he sprinted down the court. Bryan had a taller defender playing pressure defense. Bryan threw the ball between his legs, and spinned around the defender, leaving him on the ground.

"SKATES" He heard the younger ones watching scream.

Bryan went up for a lay-up and was about to be blocked. He went up and under and passed the ball back to Lance.

    Lance took the shot.

"Wet like water" He screamed as the ball connected to the net making a splash type of sound.

Lance walked over to Bryan after the game. He was your average 6'6 shooting guard. He played for Georgia State University. Bryan knew him since high school.  A light skin, pretty boy senior. He was about to graduate from GSU and wanted to work with Bryan. Lance and Bryan were like brothers. Today, Bryan seemed off and Lance didn't know why.

     "You alright?" He asked.

"Yeah..." Bryan responded while taking his LeBron 11's off. He reached for his jump man slides. Bryan always went and played ball when he was stressed and conflicted. Just him and his boys, made everything around him move slow.

"Everything good with the ol' lady?" Lance asked. "She been home more?"

  "Yeah. She's pregnant." Bryan said.

"Well..." Lance started. "It's about damn time"

Bryan chuckled. "Shut up nigga"

"So, what's wrong with you?" Lance asked.

"What makes you think something is wrong?" Bryan responded.

"Bruh... You don't ever play that good unless you got some things you don't want to think about. Come on man." Lance started. "I've known you since I was fourteen It's been ten years. I can tell."

Bryan was in the gym working out. John by Lil Wayne was playing in the background. The lyrics played loud in his 9 Bose speakers. He was in the middle of his 2nd set of 50 chin ups. Sweat was dripping down his shirtless body. He could feel the salted liquid enter his belly button. The burn felt amazing to him. The past few months have been crazy, but working out has made him as cut as he used to be. He had been in the best shape of his life and he didn't plan on slowing down. He hadn't smoked or drank in 5 months. He was healthier, and always working out if he wasn't at work.

"I'm HEADING TO WORK" A scream from his wife penetrated his ears.

He came down. Turn the music down.

"What?" He asked.

"I'm heading to work" She repeated. She was wearing a pin stripped sun dress. It complimented her curves as she walked up to him. Her breasts were complimented by how tight the dress was. As she approached, Bryan only stared at her stomach. He couldn't tell if she was pregnant or not. What she have to lie for though?

He grabbed his water and drank it. "Alright"

She leaned over and kissed him and walked out. He stared until she was gone, then he headed over to the window and watched as the gray Lexus pulled out of the drive way. He turned Wayne back up.

Right when he got back to the bar the phone rang.

"Hello. Is this Bryan Walker?" A voice said as he picked up.

"Yes" Bryan responded. "May I ask who is calling?" He said in his best Caucasian voice.

"My name is Jamie. I'm the secretary for this aviation program in Dallas, Texas."
