Chapter 12

"Oh my soul I am starving! Is there anywhere we can get food?" Arizal sighed as her stomach grumbled.

I only laughed at her as she clung to me while we walked through the hall ways.
It has been a long day of walking around and I bet you she is tired too.
I looked side ways at the girl.

"Well, there is no ways that I am going to let you eat the dumb cafeteria food here."
She gave me a funny look where she scrunched her eyebrows together and then tilted her head to side, "so then what are we going to eat?"

Oh Arizal, you should not have asked that.

A smirk played an my lips as I moved my hand to hers. "Run."
That's all I had to do for her to smile widely and start following me as we ran down the halls together only to land up behind the door to my brothers classroom.
We took deep breaths trying to calm down but the door opened quickly, giving Ari a fright.

Her eyes went wide and she started stuttering out an apology: "sorry sir, I- We, I'm sorry."

Calum folded his arms and pretended to be angry. Raising his voice as he spoke only for me to roll my eyes and lean against the door frame. "What are you two girls doing?" He asked grabbing yellow notes from his pocket that he now kept at all times. Shaking his head, he tsked. "You girls are not allowed to be causing nonsense like that. I'll be seeing you in detention this afternoon."

Arizal's eyes went wide and tears pricked her eyes. "Sir we're sorry. Please we didn't mean it!"
So before things got bad, I grabbed the girls hand, shoving past calum and walking into the class where Ashton sat on a table in the front, Luke sat in his chair and Michael leaned against the board, munching on an apple.

"We're starving, can you please order pizza?" I looked at my brother, fluttering my eyes at him. He rolled his eyes and went onto his phone, scrolling down and mumbling about why he needs to order me pizza and that I need to pay him back.
Arizal stood behind me, and whispered in my ear: "what are you doing?" She obviously thought that I was going mad, ordering teachers around to do my work.

"Oh right!" I said, smiling as I saw Calum walk to Michael. "Guys, this is Arizal, she is new here, say hi." They all mumbled out a 'hi' Cal and Michael being the only enthusiastic people. What the hell is going on with Luke and Ash?

"Her Mom also works here. Apparently she likes screwing with the guys and causes problems so... Yeah anyway."

"Your pizza is on its way. I'll go get it," Luke sighed and left the class. Ashton just stared. There is no way I can wait till after school to talk to him. I need to talk to him now.

So I walked Ari over to Michael and Calum.
"Can you please keep Arizal some company? I have to go and talk to Mr Irwin about my project." I gave them those eyes which basically told them that it was extremely important. They nodded their heads and left me to it. I really do need to find out what is wrong.

I walked up to Ashton and pouted. I wish I could tell him how good he looked today in his somewhat tight suit and his tie.
"Mr Irwin," I said, quickly pulling him back to reality.

"Yeah?" He questioned. I was surprised that he didn't question why I called him by his surname cause I never do that.

"Can we talk?" I didn't even have to say another word for him to walk out the class, me trailing behind because I knew something was up. We walked to the janitors closet, going in and locking the door behind us. The room was dark and we left it that way.

"Baby, what's wrong?" I asked, putting a hand on his chest and twirling my finger in circles. He sighed, leaning his head on mine. "I'm just- I feel like something bad is going to happen."

"Why would you think that?"

"There this lady that works here. Her name is Georgia Hathbron. And- I don't know, she just gives me a bad vibe. She keeps looking at me and today when I was in the office alone... You know what, its fine."
Moving my hands behind his neck, I hugged him tight.

"Nothing bad will happen, I promise you, okay? I love you." I whispered in his ear as he hugged me back. He mumbled back an I love you. We stood there for what felt like hours but was only a few minutes.

Ashton moved, leaving me to feel empty. "You know I love you so much right?" I nodded my head. His palms rested on my face and he kissed me then pulled away. "I can't do this. It is making me feel so guilty." Ash moved away from me making my heart tear just a bit.

"Can't do what? What do you mean?"

"Us."

Again, yet another rip.

"What... Why?"

"Because I... At a gig. That Georgia girl was there and she..." Of course. "Then today, she came onto me and..."

"So, you..." A tear escaped from my eye. It was bad. This whole thing was bad. Me and a teacher? That was the worst mistake ever!

"Yes, I did." He sighed out. I couldn't believe it. He ...
A knock was heard on the door.

"Hey! I got your pizza."
It was Luke. He always did this. Always. We unlocked the door and I got out, grabbing the pizza and walking away. I just wasn't in the mood to eat.

"Kenzy!" It was Luke that screamed my name as the tears in my eyes started pouring down my face.
Footsteps came up beside me but I didn't want to look at anything. Hear anything. I just wanted to get away.

"Hey,why you crying?" Luke stopped and pulled me into a hug and let me sob in his arms silently. But I pulled back. "I need to go give this to Arizal." And with saying that, I stormed down the hall and into the class. "Here's the pizza. I'm leaving school."

Both Calum and Michael got up to see what was happening but I just pushed them away. Running out the building and to my car. I started it up then drove out the parking lot, making my way to the edge of town. I stopped, grabbing the 4 bottles of alcohol and sat there. Not opening anything yet until the right time. Instead, I stayed parked on the curb, drowning in my tears.
