The ambulance and cops are here. They're questioning me. I told them it was an accident, but they're not listening. I'm just watching Lola's body being wheeled past, being put into the ambulance. I'm in handcuffs. Bonnie's crying, yelling my name, I can't do anything about it. I'm just, existing. Not alive, just existing. Numb.
Suddenly, I'm home. Still numb, but home. This is why I don't open up to people. I end up hurting them, or they end up hurting me, or both, in this case. I'm in my bed. Everyone's above me, looking down at me. They're talking, but I'm not listening. I just keep overhearing the words "Lola" and "Dead". I think she's dead. Suddenly, I sit up. Everyone goes silent, still looking at me.
"She's. Dead."
"Hey, Izzy, calm down. She's not. She's just really hurt." Caity says.
"And it's all my fault." I say, with tears falling from my eyes.
"It's not. It's hers." Bonnie says, as she sits next to me and hugs me. "She hurt YOU. It's just karma."
"And it's all gonna come back to me. I'm gonna get hurt, again."
Bonnie sighs. "Get some rest." Everyone walks out. I lay down, still crying. I doze off, then suddenly, I woke up, to Lola at the foot of my bed, staring at me. Bleeding everywhere.
"I-I'm s-s-sorry." I stutter saying, because I'm so scared.
"It's all your fault. It's all your fault. It's all your fault. You killed him, Izzy. You killed your best friend. You killed him." Lola kept saying, laughing.
"SHUT UP! SHUT UP! SHUT UP!" I managed to escape that nightmare. Bonnie comes running into the room.
"Are you okay?! You're crying!" She comes up to me, hugging me.
"What time is it?" I say, still crying and shaking.
"4:02 A.M."
"I'm s-scared."
"Shhhhhh. I'll sleep with you. Nothing will happen to you." Bonnie says, scooting me over, laying next to me. She puts my head on her chest. She's so nice to me. Why is she so nice to me?
