We all have that one thing that gives us joy
That one vision that makes us go on
That keeps us grounded
That future we're hoping to create

Our dreams are our driving power
They're our strength and weaknesses
Their realisation is what makes or mar a person
A dream can be that future profession, job, performance, opportunity, love, family, body goals, milestone, academic award etc
It can be that one thing that takes a person from teenagehood to adulthood

Most times it drives our actions
It tests our values
Sometimes we'll do anything to see those dreams come true
Anything!
Who we are as a person now comes into play
How far are you willing to go?
How many steps are you willing to take?
How many lives are you willing to touch positively in the search for your goals?
Or is it so many toes you're planning to step on?

In the pursuit for the actualization of these dreams,
We need to remind ourselves of who we are,
Of the fact that other people have their own dreams
They are on their way to their achievements too
Let's respect other people's struggles
Don't undermine people to make a headway
It'll come back to bite you in the ass
As important as you are,
And as important as your dreams are,
Others matter too

No matter what,
If this dreams are legitimate
Only you can determine that by the way
Nobody else can
And you're the one in charge of your dreams
Just you
People can assist you but they can't achieve them for you
Let nothing stop you

You've got to dream it, see it, perceive it, desire it before you can achieve it
Don't rush
And don't expect too much at once
Be realistic
As they say Rome wasn't built in day,
Success isn't achieved in one too

And to people who might be thinking they can't achieve their dreams
Or those who were told they wouldn't make it, or that they wouldn't achieve it, or whose dreams have been belittled
Those whose dreams have been looked down upon
Don't believe it
Don't even listen to their negativity
Block it out of your thoughts
You're strong and your dreams are too
Your dreams are a part of you nobody has the right to take away
There's nothing you can't achieve once you put your mind to it
You can and you will make it
Just focus
And believe
Work and pray too
Those prayers go a long way towards pushing those achievements forward
Neglect the negative
Grasp the positive
Your dreams will come true

Funny thing is,
Some dreams aren't eventually meant to be
But the power of Belief in ourselves is what keeps us going in the end
Your dream might not be meant to happen the exact way you've pictured it
But something else will
A bigger dream
But if you don't believe in the power you have,
The strength you possess,
And your power of achievement,
You might fail totally
Just dream it first
Then try your best
Strive hard
And give it your all.

To those whose dreams have been thwarted in one way or the other
Who put their all into it
Yet it still fell apart
Who have lost all hope
Wait!
Don't give up!
Failure is a big deal, yeah
But you're a bigger deal
Your dreams are a bigger deal
It might not have worked out the first time,
Or the second and third
But it eventually will.
So stand up again,
Build another dream, visualize it again, and go and get it!
Change your plans,
Create better ones,
Search for better opportunities,
They'll come.
Ask for help from the RIGHT people
No man is an island
You'll see everything would work out
Just DO NOT GIVE UP!

Let's all work together to create a better world
Chase your dreams
Help others
Impact positively
Be nice to people
Show love when you can
Show that you care
You just might be someone's SILVER LINING
You might be the only light in their life
So be careful and hurt people less

Take your future into your hands
Only you can make it happen!
