Do you ever feel anything slipping away from you?
Do you feel like you're about to lose something
Maybe its that one thing that keeps you together
Do you ever feel like your emotions are no longer in your grasp?
That you're sinking more and more with no hand to hold onto?
Do you ever feel like everyone else is blurred into the background and you're floating in space with no landing in sight?

Don't give up so easily
The struggle is tough
There are times when we fight so hard and still lose
Does that mean we stop fighting?
Does that mean that after the 1001 times we lost, Just this last time can't make the difference?
You'll never know your lucky number if you never try again
Again and again

There are so many times it feels like we're fighting a losing battle
But know that no one can defeat you, unless you defeat yourself
That part of you that struggles against you
That your demons hold on to,
If you don't take charge today,
If you don't take control today,
Tomorrow might be too late

Even mighty warriors fall
You're not weak for wanting to fall and not stand back up
Everyone thinks of giving up at least once
But you become weak when you actually do not stand up

Nobody can define you
Nobody can take control for you
Nobody can help if the strength you need doesn't come from within first
You need to find that flicker of hope
That ray buried so deep within
That ember that's about to be put out
And fan it so much it grows into a roaring fire
Take control of your own life
You deserve that much at least

We can't always be slaves to our emotions
Sometimes the voices of our inner insecurities get so loud we have to block our ears
Its like falling off a cliff,
It feels all sudden and so fast when you're pushed
But feels really slow when you make the jump yourself
Why not turn back from the cliff
Why not take charge and make that journey back home
It may not be to a safe and happy place
But you can make it into your own safe and happy place
Who says the fallen can't rise again?
Who says the weak can't become strong?
Why not start over with beautiful mind where your control is on a tight leash?
Where you can control what happens and what doesn't

Let's step up and take charge
Let's avoid falling victims to our own minds
And if it already is
Let's break free
It doesn't start with flying
It starts with a step
Things with the best results often do
We're not Superman
But we might as well be when we start to see the results of the positive things we do

Start today
Think positive
Try at least to eliminate the negative no matter how hard it might seem
There's no harm in trying
Give it a shot
Today might be that day you free your own self from the personal bondage

And sometimes the things we really want are there staring us in the face
And we feel ourselves holding back
Unable to grasp them because we do nothing
Just because we don't believe in ourselves enough to go for it
Why torture ourselves so badly by seeing what you want and yet drawing back?
When all we have to do is try
In the end we might not get whatever it is
But knowing you give it all you could is worth it
So worth it!
It shows how much control you have over your own life and decisions
It shows how much you're willing to strive for what what you want
What you really deserve
And if you don't get it today
Tomorrow is another day

And there are so many people around us who are going through really tough patches
And sometimes it's hard to recognize them because of the walls they've built and the fake smiles they've perfected
Sometimes they don't even know it themselves
Sometimes they do not realize it until its too late
Sometimes they're surrounded with people and yet really lonely
Sometimes there's so much laughter around them but only tears on the inside
And the walls might seem unbreakable but they're not
Just be there for them
Be someone they can count on
Be someone who will show them so much love they'll start to love themselves too
Be someone who shows them that no matter how dark the abyss of their mind is, they're the only ones who can take control and bring light into it
Tell them they're strong
Tell them they're beautiful
Tell them they're loved
And make them believe it
Be their strength
Be their anchor
Be their Silver Lining
Don't bring them down by the words you speak
Or by your actions
Don't make them feel inferior
Make them stronger
Show them the 'Power of Control'

The world isn't ready for you
