-Mitch, come on! You're taking too long in there!- Scott shouted, knocking from the other side of the door. - You don't wanna be late!
Mitch ignored. Scott could hear his voice humming a familiar melody.
-Oh my god, are you using Beyoncé to ignore me?
Mitch giggled, trying to keep singing. Scott opened the bathroom's door and jumped into his friend's back, making him fall.
-Noo, Scott you're too big!-He complained, while standing up - Look what you've done! Now I have to brush my hair all over again!
The blonde kept laughing.
-Mitchy you look absolutely gorgeous. - He complimented, staring at the other's image in the mirror.
Mitch smiled at him. After some seconds of silence, Scott spoke:
-So, let's go?
-No wait gotta grab my bag.
-Miiiiitch come on! I'm getting stressed out.
Scott had always been like this - very strict with schedules and responsible with deadlines. On the other hand, Mitch would always be late for everything, mostly because he was getting ready. And now that the event was a photo shoot, he would take even more time.
-Do you like these shoes? - he asked from his closet. Scott sighed.
-Mitch, I've told you-you to look stunning. Come on, I'll drive.
They went to the garage and got in the car. As soon as Scott started driving, Mitch turned the radio on. The song that was playing was "living on a prayer". Despite his hate for Bon Jovi, Scott stayed silent to enjoy his friend's voice singing along. Mitch looked through the window, often looking away to face Scott. He always looked so serious and focused when he was driving. Mitch couldn't help but giggle a little, distracting the bigger's attention. Scott looked at him with a glance.
-What? - he smiled.
-Nothing you're funny.-Mitch laughed.
-What? Why?
-You look so serious.
-I was listening to you. You know I hate Bon Jovi though.
Mitch changed the radio station.
-No -Scott turned the radio off- Just sing something to me.
Mitch started singing Disney songs and Scott joined him as he could. They ended up laughing of themselves. In twenty minutes, they arrived at the studio.

Mitch couldn't take his eyes off Scott. His hair looked especially good that day, maybe it was due to the lighting. And his eyes looked bluer than usual. He wondered if Scott had always been this handsome. It was definitely the light.
-Slay! - he commented, looking at the pictures.
Scott laughed.
-I'm surely not as photogenic as you are, queen.
-Maybe one day you will...- Mitch fooled.
Scott obeyed the photographer's indications and in 10 minutes he was done.
-Well, that was fast.
-Your turn, Mr.Grassi.- the photographer called.
-Go ahead. - Scott encouraged him.
Mitch felt a little intimidated to follow his friend. Unlike him, Scott always looked in shape and Mitch's photo shoot wouldn't go as well as his. Still, he did his best.
-Yes! - the photographer cheered. Mitch was so good at posing that he barely had to be given any instructions. -Mr. Hoying, why don't you join Mr.Grassi?
Scott ran into Mitch's side and put his arm around his shoulders as he always did.
Mitch was overly used to Scott's hugs, only this time it felt weird.
He felt so aware of everything. He could hear Scott's breathing. He could feel the time pass slowly as every second seemed like a minute. He felt his shoulders warm up and weirdly enough he just didn't know what to do with his hands. The photographer couldn't help but notice the younger's discomfort.
-Mitch, try to relax a little more okay?
Scott stroked his friend's arm.
-Are you alright?
Mitch nodded. "Get yourself together, Mitch", he thought "You've done this a million times, what's wrong with you?" Something about Scott's presence made him shudder, and he just couldn't tell why. There were so many differences in the way he looked at Scott, he was just noticing it now and it made him slightly uncomfortable. How could that be, if they had been best friends for years?
After what seemed ages, they were done shooting.
Mitch left, confused and frustrated with his own behavior. Scott followed him.
-Mitchy, what's wrong?
Mitch turned to face his concerned friend.
-I...I don't know, I guess I got a little nervous.
-Nervous? How come? You've done this a million times and you still killed it today. - Scott leaned for a hug - Come on, let's go home.
Scott released Mitch from his arms and started walking to the car.
The same Disney songs were sung and Mitch forgot about his worries. So did Scott, seeing Mitch's laughter. Every time he laughed was so precious to him, that he couldn't help it but to laugh himself too.
They stopped at Starbucks to get coffee and Scott took the opportunity to schedule some interviews.
-I have to make some phone calls - he said - Are you free on Wednesday evening?
Mitch lifted his head.
-Interview?
-Yes.
-Sure. How many interviews do we have left before the tour?
-Just this one. And no more photo shoots.
-Yay! -Mitch cheered - I'm so excited for the tour!
-Me too - Scott agreed while typing the agency's phone number.
Mitch swirled his latte's spoon as he looked into Scott's eyes. Scott faced him seriously while talking to the phone.
No. That tension again. Mitch looked away and sipped the latte trying to avoid eye contact.
-They're saying we can make the interview online - he said - as we've done the photo shoot today.
-Fine by me. - Mitch said.
-Okay, so we can schedule it for tonight then? - Scott said to the phone - Alright. Okay. Good afternoon! - He hung up.
-I'm so happy that I don't have to actually attend the interview - Mitch confessed.
-You do realize the interviews will double with the tour.
-Yeah, I don't mind, I'm just not in the mood to go anywhere today.
-You should have told me, I could cancel or reschedule it. -Scott looked concerned.
-No, there's no need for that. I'm just a lazy couch potato. -Mitch smiled. Scott smiled back.
-But hey - Scott took his hand - If anything's wrong, you can tell me.
Mitch felt his skin as sensitive as velvet. Never in his life had Scott's touch made him feel so much. It seemed that he had cleared all of his senses. He moved his hand away as quickly as he could, making Scott notice his nerves.
-Mitch. - He said.
-Yes. Yes, sorry. I know. Thank you. I'm fine.
-But, for real. You know you can count on me, right?
Mitch knew it far too well. Since high school, they've always been there for each other and whenever one got down, the other would always make sure to do everything to make that change.
-Always. -Mitch answered, looking down.
