Once we got Loki into the jet and we took off, Fury came on the voice intercom.
"Has he said anything yet?" Fury asked.
"Not a word," Nat replied.
"Just get him in here. We're low on time," Fury responded and then hung up.
Tony, Steve and I all watched suspiciously at Loki. "I don't like it," Steve said.
"What? Rock of Ages giving up so easily?" Tony joked.
"I don't remember it ever being that easy. This guy packs a wallop," Steve said old fashionably.
"Still, you are pretty spry for an older fellow. What's you thing? Pilates?" Tony asked.
"What?" Steve said confused.
"It's like calisthenics. You might have missed a few things, you know, doing time as a capsule," Tony said. Steve and Tony were complete opposites. Alter egos. It was like looking at a demon and then an angel.
"Fury didn't tell us he was calling you in for this mission," I said breaking the silence.
"There's a lot of things Fury doesn't tell you," Tony said. Suddenly, a lightning bolt had almost hit the jet, we all shook violently.
"Where's this coming from?" Nat questioned to herself.
Thunder rumbled and Loki looked anxious. "What's the matter? Scared of a little lightning?" Steve mocked.
"I'm not overly fond of what follows," Loki said. Just then something landed on the jet. The ramp started to open making the wind blow in our faces. A man with flowing blond hair and a red cape stepped in and grabbed Loki by the throat. He flew off with Loki by hammer. By freaking hammer. We were left dumbstruck.
Tony activated his suit. "Now there's that guy," Tony said. His helmet flipped on.
"Another Asgaudian?" Nat yelled over the wind.
"Think this guys friendly?" I asked.
"Doesn't matter. If he frees or kills Loki, the Tesseract is lost," Tony said in a robotic voice and started walking toward the edge of the ramp.
"Stark, we need a plan of attack!" Steve yelled.
"I have a plan: Attack," Stark said and flew off into the darkness. I grabbed a parachute and Steve followed my lead.
"I'd sit this one out," Nat said.
"I don't see how we could!" I yelled.
"These guys come from legends, they're basically Gods!"
"There's only one God, ma'am. And I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that!" Then we jumped out.
As we went down I could feel my cheeks flapping in the wind. I parachuted once when I was 18 but I was attached to someone. I followed Steve's lead and made sure I had the right string to pull to parachute. The ground came closer and closer and Steve pulled his string and I did, too. I was flung to the air. "Woohoo!" I yelled and I saw Steve have that schoolboy smile on him. I couldn't help but blush and let butterflies eat away at my stomach. I knew I had a crush on Steve and I wasn't going to deny it, but if this doesn't work out like its planned, then we might be dead.
I could see a bright light zoom through the trees and up a cliff. Stark. I could see the light have something in his grasp and then they go of the mountain. We got to the ground and took off our parachutes.
"Floaty thing?" I asked.
Steve rolled his eyes. "Fine," he said.
I smiled and picked him up with the telekinesis and ran. Then we saw them, they were fighting like idiots. I set Steve down by a fallen tree and he climbed up it. When he was on top of the fallen tree, he flung his shield at Tony and the futuristic looking Roman. It bounced off of them both and Steve grabbed the shield.
