Maple p.o.v.
Watch was really boring because you just sit there with the water sloshing around. About an hour into watch the storm finally stopped. I was thankful to be able to read a book without it getting soaked Percy Jackson was my life. I think that's pretty sad but I honestly don't care. I was getting tired but everyone else needed sleep a lot more than I did so I wasn't going to wake anyone up. I'm curious if were actually gonna be OK. I really don't think we are. I already know that i’ll sacrifice my food supply so they last longer because I know they would for me if they knew what I was doing. I'm not planning on telling them but whenever I get food i'm gonna eat what I need and save the rest for later. I would stop once we have a sustainable food source or if we get home. I hear a rustle and look around to see Hail waking up. “Morning Hail” “Oh good morning Maple. Wait how long have you been up for” “Oh I didn't go to sleep at all” I said avoiding her gaze”What?! Why?” “Someone needed to keep an eye out for land so I volunteered. I slept earlier anyway” “You should get some sleep” She said concern evident in her chestnut eyes. “First i'm gonna drink some water like a person because it's warm out” I said grabbing a water bottle and pouring it over my face with my mouth wide open. Hail burst out laughing when I said and did that. We had to cover our mouths so no one else woke up.” Maple just sleep i’ll keep watch” I wasn't gonna argue I just laid down using her and Kai as pillows and drifted off into sleep.
