Chapter 9

Levi's POV

I'm so nervous right now. I'm really gonna do this. The drive to the auditorium (Which happens to be the same one we graduated from high school in) was quiet but comfortable. Eren didn't get enough sleep last so he was nodding off in the passenger seat. I had my hand on his thigh, rubbing soft circles into it soothingly. I'm glad he was falling asleep because i really don't want to talk to him right now. He might ask me questions and I can't have him know what I have planned tonight. It's not sexual. Calm down. As the drive wears on, time goes by. Eventually, we pull in to the parking lot. I got out of he car and went to Eren's door. I open it, grab him out, and carry him bridal style inside. The way he looks when he's all cuddled up to me is so adorable. His breathing is slow and shallow and his mouth is slightly parted, letting out small, hot breaths. I kissed his forehead as we walked through the door, me being greeted quietly by all of our friends. Eren slowly and groggily woke up and his face immediately heated up when he realised I was carrying him. ¨L-Levi...Can you please put me d-down?¨ I chuckled and set him on his feet gently, kissing him lightly. We all got ready to walk out to the stage to grab our diplomas. This time, it seems so much more lame than in high school. We all walked, got cheered for, and sat down in the crowd. When the last person started walking on stage, I got up and walked over to the stairs and onto the stage. Look at all the damn people in the crowd. 200 at least. I tapped the guy with the microphone on the shoulder and he nodded, handing the mic to me. Eren looked at me with curiosity.

Eren's POV

What is this guy planning? I watch closely as Levi clears his throat and begins to speak shakily into the mic. He isn't one to get nervous but right now, you can tell he's terrified. ¨Hi everyone. This part of the show tonight isn't in the program because i'm the only one who knows this is happening. I'm extremely happy with how my life's going at the moment. I have everything I could ever want. Friends, a working car, a new apartment waiting for me, but best of all, my amazing boyfriend. Eren Jaeger. He is handsome and adorable and so so sweet. I want everyone to know about him. I'm happy with him and I really want him to know it.¨ I started to tear up as almost the whole crowd awed while others, probably homophobes, all booed. I didn't care though. His man means the world to me. ¨Eren baby, can you come up here please? I have something for you.¨ I gave a questioning look and he just stared at me blankly, waiting for me to get up and go to him. So I did. I walked up the stairs to the stage slowly, getting applause. I'm blushing profusely of course. Why is Levi like this? It's too cute. When I got to him Levi grabbed my hands in his, setting the microphone back on it's stand and talking loudly so that everyone could still hear him. ¨Eren Jaeger, you make me so happy. You are sweet, loving, and i'm so undeserving of your love. My love for you never ends. You know I hate cheesy thing but I know you love them so here I am. Being so corny in front of a huge crowd of people.¨ The whole crowd chuckled at that. ¨So Eren,¨ Levi reached for his pocket and got down on one knee and I covered my mouth, unable to breath. I know what this is. I don't know what to say. I'm speechless to say the least. ¨Will you become Mr. Ackerman and marry me?¨ I felt as if I was ready to pass out. The tears started flowing and I dropped to my knees and hugged Levi with all of my strength. This guy knows exactly how to make me the happiest person alive. ¨Of course Levi. I love you so much. I want to be with you forever.¨ Levi yelled to the crowd, ¨HE SAID YES!!!¨ The crowd stood up into a standing ovation and cheered for us loudly. Our friends ran up on the stage and hugged us tightly in a big group hug. We all stood up and walked out of the building happily. Me and Levi held hands the whole way to our new apartment. We spent the whole night unpacking and cuddling and kissing and almost taking it too far a few times. Right now, i'm on Levi's lap on the couch, facing towards him kissing him passionately, I looked at my hand and there it was. The most beautiful ring I've ever seen. It has a green emerald in the middle that matches my eyes perfectly and small diamonds around that. It's beautiful.
