I pressed my hands on the metal handle as I sauntered into the restroom. whiffs of must and bleach roamed into my nose. Yep, typical boy smell. I let go of the door and felt it close behind me. I drifted my way near the stale. Before entering I looked at the mirror that gotten parts of my back. I looked away from the mirror and opened the stale door, looking at the rotten tiles. The stale wrapped in fresh blue paint clogged the original scent.
"Eren?" a voice called. I felt hesitant, unsure whether I should let this person know it's me. I looked between the cracks of the stale and saw it was Connie. I stepped back and sighed. Clearing my throat, I unlocked the rusted stale and peaked my head out.
The boy drifted towards me, with a frown only an innocent child could make when devastated. His chapped lips formed a sentence so bitter, leaving a thick slice of awkwardness. " So it was you. I need to tell you something." I stepped out of the stale, waiting for him to continue. I surely was curious as to what's got him this distasteful.
" I...coach hanji told me...that she won't be the tennis teacher anymore..." he looked down onto the abandoned tiles, leaving me in my thoughts.
I looked at Connie with concern, "Is she leaving..." Connie shook his head, slowly looking back at me, " I'm not sure, eren. she never told me if she was staying or leaving..."
My temper was running out. I was only this close to cursing at him. it didn't make sense to me as to why he is so upset. Maybe there's a reason why she isn't staying as coach. "I don't get why you're upset...it's not like tennis is going, just the coach" I stated, but Connie cut me off with a tone of aggravation.
" Oh right, I forgot your new to tennis. My apologies, I just thought you cared." soon enough, Connie was gone. Right out the bathroom.
I growled. The hell was he going at? I shrugged it off and left the restroom. The rest of the went by normal. work and stuff. Soon enough, it was time to go. I stayed back, walking to the tennis court.
I dropped my bag and started stretching with the rest of the guys.
" Anyone got a guess as to who the new coach will be," oruo asked as he stretched his calves. We shook our heads, not sure as to who it would be.
We saw coach smiling, her cheeks all high and mighty. We looked nervous, for we all knew the situation.
"Alright... I'm for sure you guys are...upset about me not being your coach," she said distraughtly, "But I'm not leaving... I'm just going to be your assistant coach. As for your new coach, say hello everyone!" We looked at the man next who stood beside coach and I was in shock. LEVI?
I glared at Levi and he knew I was looking at him. Why is he here?
"Alright maggots, get to running. 5 laps in 6 minutes let's go!!! MOVE IT MOVE IT!!"
he looked pretty intimidating for sure, and the sun's glare made it worse. We started running around the court. My legs giving up on me on the 3rd lap. I stopped and walked the rest of the way. Of course, I didn't finish in six minutes but idgaf. I'm tired and I cant run when I'm tired.
"Jaeger...comehere...now," he demanded. I trotted my way over to him and smiled.
"you find it funny jaeger?" he growled. I couldn't help but find it funny to see him act this way, knowing he's a different person at home.
" yea, you're trying to be all badass but we both know you're not like this..'sir." I chuckled, but it was cut off as he gripped and yanked me towards him.
