We rush into the room Kelsy is in to see a box on the floor. kelsy was fine but im not sure if i am. the box contained the scrapbook josh gave me on our first christmas. i stare at it with a blank face. erik gives me a mad look.
"im sorry mommy" kelsy hugs my leg. i dont move.
"can daddy please talk to mommy alone princess?" erik asks her. she nods and walks off. tears start to stream down my face. i dont know what is about to go down. im terrifed. terrified. erik walks infront of me and faces me.
"colleen what is that?" he asks in a stern voice. i dont say anything.
"colleen ansew me now!" he now yells. i bolt upstairs and lock myself in my room. i climb on the bed and sob. i try my best to calm myself down. i pull out my phone and go on it to distract myself.
an hour later there is a knock at the door.
"who is it?" i ask.
"its me."says kelsy.
"come in darling." she opens the door and comes in and sits with me on the bed.
"daddy left...." she says. those two words causes my heart to fall to my stomach. hes gone. just like that. erik and i's first major fight and he leaves. i hold her tight. i kiss her head. i look at the time. 6pm. i get up.
"im gonna go make dinner angel" i say to her. she takes my hand and we both walk down the stairs and to the kitchen. there, on the kitchen counter sits a note. i walk towards it and pick it up. i begin to read:
Dear colleen,
