I went back to my room and dressed like a civilian in attempt to buy groceries plus working even a part-time job nearby. I put on my glasses and cap just to make sure people won't recognize us easily.

It's easier said than to be done

Most of my teammates aren't here staying with us ( Natasha & I) because they have business to do which I didn't dig on it too much. Privacy, everyone.

And basically speaking, without the other Avengers, it's just me and Natasha living under the same roof. Back in our times, this set-up is ridiculous to people especially if the one's living under the same roof are not family-related or not your spouse.

But it's already 21st century and no.2) Natasha and I aren't strangers at all, we're friends for how many years and lastly, I don't mind living with her. No offense meant though.

"Captain, ya ready?" she said while knocking at my door. She literally knows how to knock very well that I think my door will be K.O. soon because of her strong knock.

I giggled a bit, imagining her face while knocking at my door, it may be scary to others but I really find it amusing and funny. Behind her scary tactics and movements, she's still a woman with different sides and versions of herself and that's why I don't mind to discover them all. It's Black Widow after all so why not?

"In a minute" I shouted back at her and sprayed some perfume in my clothes. I'm not used to do it but hey, I'm trying to fit in, in this world. And besides, it's Natasha's advice to put on some clothes or even nice shoes when going out of this house. I swear, that woman...

"Jeez Rogers, are you a girl? You're slow as hell" she said to me with a hint of annoyance in her voice after I opened my door to see her.

"Chill woman, I'm ready okay? Let's go before you keep on blabbering about things" I said to her and in return, she just rolled her eyes and followed my lead.

"Where should we go first Mr. Rogers?" she asked me and I suddenly stopped walking. Okay, think Mr. Captain America, you got this.

"Based on your face, you basically have no idea where should we work or find a job at all so I guess it leaves us the choice to go get some groceries first right?" Well, I kinda screwed up right there and she's right. Why do always women have a point anyways?

In just a span of minutes, it is the other way around now. I'm currently following her lead and I guess we're both heading to a grocery store. I have some money left but I don't think this can suffice our needs for a month.

And as what happened and told before, Agent Hill just helped us to settle in here, temporarily. In case if you're wondering where's Bucky, my bestfriend, he's in Wakanda. King T'Challa and his people are taking care of him and offered me to go back here first to settle some things here.

And that includes the Avengers.

Stating fact here, we all messed it up. By 'we' means Tony Stark and I. This should've not happened if we're kind enough to hear each other sides or even to make things clear between us without lies.

Yes, lies always make things 'right' when in fact, it is not. It is humiliating to tampered the truth with lies and dishonesty.

That's what I learned in the war we brought to this town.

"Excuse me, Steve?" I immediately turn around to the red-haired woman who called for my attention.

"Yes?" I received a death-glare to her before she began speaking again.
