|Chp. 6| Milkshakes

|Grayson's pov|

I didn't even know why I was mad, I was loosing my mind over my stepsister.

I hear a knock on my door,

It was Emma.

"Hey, I'm going out do you need anything?" She asked.

"Out?" I asked getting furious.

"Yea, I'm getting milkshakes with a friend," she said raising an eyebrow.

"Yea no, I'm fine have fun." I said wanting to scream.

"Ok see ya," she said closing the door.

I thought to myself,

Why

Why do I have these feelings?

I feel like Emma is a magnet that I attract to.

I like my stepsister.

|Emma's pov|

I didn't have a car yet because we never had the money or time so I walked to the milkshake bar.

I see Chris sitting in a booth and I walk over to him.

"Hey," I said smiling.

"Hey, you look beautiful." He said looking at me up and down.

"Thanks," I said pushing my hair behind my ear.

We sit down and order our milkshakes,

I get a caramel coffee milkshake (pic above) and Chris gets a chocolate brownie one.

"So.." He said laughing.

"So..?" I was confused.

"How was your first day?" He asked smiling.

"Good, you're actually the first person to ask," I said blushing.

As we were walking out of the milkshake bar I hear my name get called.

"Emma!" I turn around to see my best friend Savanna from my old school.

"Omg Savanna!" I sorta screamed.

"What are you doing here? This is like an hour and a half of a drive." I said confused.

"We're celebrating, ya know for graduation!" She jumps up and down.

Wow. I forgot all about graduating.

"Y'all are already out?" I asked.

"Yeah and we graduate this Saturday and I want you to come." She said looking me in the eyes.

"Yeah of course" I said smiling.

Me and Chris left the milkshake bar and started walking.

And started playing a game.

"Ok, never have I ever, gotten drunk before" he asked.

"Yea, super" I laughed.

He looked at me making us stop walking,

He lifted my chin up,

And leaned in.

And we kissed.

He pulled away, and started to laugh.

"You're laugh is really cute" he said smiling.

"Thanks," I said pushing my hair behind my ear.

We finally arrived to my house and we were outside my door.

"So when's our next date?" He said smiling.

"This was a date?" I said smirking.

"I was hoping" he said biting his lips. (A/n I cringed while writing that lmao 😂)

"See ya tomorrow in class" I say walking back.

But I start to turn around and I gave him a peck on the cheek.

"Bye," I said closing the door.

I come in all smiling and I'm in such a good mood.

"Hey," Grayson says to me

"Heyyyy" I said laughing.

"Are you high?" He asked.

"On life? Yes, on weed? No" I said laughing.

"Why is she all, weird?" I hear Grayson say walking in the living room.

"What is a girl not aloud to be happy?" I asked.

Ethan laughed.

"I'm guessing it was a good first date?" He asked

"Yea, it was," I said smiling.

Grayson clinched his jaw.

"What?" I asked him raising an eyebrow.

"Nothing," He said furious walking off to his room.

I go knock on his door,

"Look Ethan I don't wanna-"

"It's not Ethan" I said opening the door.

"What?" He asked rolling his eyes.

"What's wrong with you? Why are you all of a sudden in a pissed mood?" I asked.

"I need to change can you get out?" He asked not making eye contact with me.

"Whatever" I said closing his door.
