|Chp 1.| Meeting the boyfriend

|Emma's pov|

For the longest time it's just been me and my mom, my dad died when I was 3, and I didn't have any siblings.

I was happy for my mom, really. But I've never liked changes, and I never will.

My mom was grabbing the last few boxes, as I saw the moving truck coming down the road.

My heart sunk, Ive stayed in the same house for nine years, and now I'm just picking everything up and leaving.

"Sweetie are you ready to go?" My mom asked as I was still staring at the house,

"Can I go in one last time?" I asked with tears forming in my eyes.

"Of course," She said packing the truck.

I walked in and looked to my right, to see the wall that had all of my heights from all of my past birthdays.

A tear drops.

The house that used to be filled with laughter, is now filled with nothing,

empty.

I go in my room where most of my memories where,

both good and bad.

One good was my first kiss,

A bad, was getting caught smoking weed with my best friend, Katelyn.

I laughed at the thought of how messed up I was that day.

I remembered all the girl talks me and my mom had.

I hear footsteps and turn around.

"Come on sweetie it's time to go," My mom says grabbing my hand.

As we pull in the driveway, I see three greeting smiles standing at the doorway waving.

I close the car door and get out.

"Hi, you must be Emma, I'm Daniel, and these are my two sons Ethan and Grayson," The older dude says shaking my hand.

"Hey," I said sending a warm smile.

"Ethan and Grayson, why don't you two show Emma her room while me and Grace bring in the boxes?" Daniel says looking at the boys that look about my age.

We walk into the house and the boys walk ahead of me.

"That's your room," they say pointing to a room.

It already had a bed in it and it was already decorated.

"Thanks," I said walking in the room.

"And if you need anything, I'm right next door" one of the twins said.

"What's your name?" I looked at him confused.

He chuckled to himself slightly,

"Grayson," he said winking at me.

What did that mean?

Not gonna lie, he's really cute, but he's my step brother,

I could never do that.
