Armin feels really sore and his eyelids can barely open. The light in the room he's in is really bright and it burns his eyes slightly. He shuts his eyes because his eyes haven't adjusted yet. With his hands, he feels soft sheets underneath his fingertips. Trying again, he opens his eyes and this time the light hurts less. His body feels stiff and he can barely move. But he opens his eyes wider and can turn his head some.

The room he's in is strange and different from any room he's seen before. The walls are white and there are strange devices everywhere. Armin looks at his right arm and sees a needle attached to a cylinder like thing sticking into the crook of his elbow. He follows the the thing up and sees a bag full of clear liquid dripping into the cylinder. The liquid goes straight into his arm. He tries moving his arms and he moans slightly because pain shoots up his arm with the needle inside it.

Just then, the door to his room opens and a woman steps in. Armin instantly blushes at the woman because of her outfit. Her hair is like flames and she is revealing a lot of her body. The only thing on her chest is two pairs of cloth over her breasts. There are tattoos on her chest and abdomen. She's wearing really short pants and knee high boots. She looks at him and smiles as she makes her way to his bed.

"Looks like your conscious," She says as she stops at his head and sits down on a chair next to his bed. How he missed that, he will never know. "My name is Shura Kirigakure. Are you feeling all right? Can you speak?"

"M-My name is Armin Arlert. My body feels sore."

She looks him, a certain understanding in her irises and appears like she's encountered this sort of problem before. But she gives him a reassuring smile. "You'll feel like that after all, you have to get adjusted to a new world." Shura shrugs her shoulders like its no big deal. Armin looks at her in shock. His tongue feels numb in his mouth as he tries to use his voice, shock riddling in his gut. "I-I'm in a different world?!" he stutters out after what appears like an eternity to him, but just under a minute in reality.

"Yep, kid. You were brought here by my boss."

"Your boss?"

"Yeah, even though he looks like a clown," Shura growls, putting her elbow on her thigh and placing her chin in her palm. Armin looks at her with more confusion.

"What's a clown?" She looks at him and starts laughing. Once she stops, she looks at Armin and sees that he's not lying.

"Man, you will have a lot to learn. This world is completely different from yours. What was your world like?" She looks at him with curiosity. Armin chuckles.

"Well, my world is overrun by these beings called Titans. My people had no idea where they came from and the Titans almost brought humanity to the brink of extinction. The survivors constructed three walls. The most outer was Wall Maria, the second Wall Rose and the last Wall Sheena. The humans lived in uneasy peace because the Titans haven't been able to breach the walls in over a hundred years. Am I losing you?" Armin looks at Shura. Shura nods her head.

"No. I can't believe that. Well, I could since there's a similar problem here in my world."

"There is?"

"Yeah, we have our own monsters to deal with. But I'll let my boss explain it when he gets back."

"Back? Where did he go?" he asks, wanting to know where Shura's "boss" could be located. He wonders this "boss" person could be the light that brought him here.

Shura shrugs her shoulders. "Beats me. So, your world is overrun by these things called Titans?"

"Yes, they appear like humans, but have no human reproductive organs. Based on what our scientists concluded, they have no need for food to survive and are the most active during the day," he explains, putting together lectures he's heard from his teachers during his training years.

"Photosynthesis?" Shura states, but sounds more like a question. She scratches her chin slightly, as if thinking that it could be the answer.

"Huh? What's photosynthesis?" Shura lets out her breath.

"It's how plants make food for themselves and function properly. They only do photosynthesis during the daylight; that can explain why they are the most active during the daylight instead of during night time hours. Armin is it, our world is completely different from your own. We have more, to put as gently and easy to understand, book smarts than your people; I'm not saying you guys are dumb, I'm saying- ." Just then a ringing noise comes from her pocket and Armin's eyes go big.

"W-What's that noise?!"

"Gees, calm down. Its my cell phone," she explains as she pulls out a strange device, to Armin anyway, and scowls as she flips it open.

"Kirigakure here, what's the emergency?" She asks, listening into her phone and an annoyed expression crosses her brow. "No Tsubaki, I don't think that's considered an "emergency." Just go back to teaching your class." Armin can slightly hear another voice coming through the device. Shura's anger comes out more. "Like I said before!!! That's not an 'emergency'!! Go back to teaching your class or I swear to God I will kick your ass all the way to Vatican HQ!!!" She hangs up and looks at Armin, who at this point has wide eyes. "Sorry about that. It was just one of my coworkers. He can be annoying bastard sometimes." She can see Armin looking at her phone.

"What is that thing?" Armin at this point can move his left arm some and points to Shura's phone.

"This is called a cell phone. I can call other people with phones that are faraway." Armins eyes brighten at this interesting information.

"Really?"

"Yes," Shura says, grinning at Armin's amusement as she slides her phone back into her pocket. "Is there any other questions you like me to answer to the best of my ability."

"Yeah, what's that thing up in the corner?" Armin points behind her to a square device with a shiny screen.

"That's called a tv. It projects images for peoples entertainment. Anything else?"

"Yes."

*An hour later, after answering Armin's questions.*

"Anymore?" Shura is exhausted after answering Armins questions.

"What's the small device that makes a beeping sound?" Armin points to the machine beside his bed.

"That's a heart monitor. It measures your heartbeat to see if your alright."

Armin looks at the machine and his heart speeds up. The line that goes up and down goes faster.

"That's really cool!! My friends would really freak out, especially my friend Eren." Saying his friends name aloud, he feels homesick. Shura notices this.

"I'm sorry, I know you must miss your friends."

Armin feels tears clouding up his eyes, but he doesn't let them fall out. Shura's phone rings again and she looks at the caller ID. She answers.

"Yes, this is Kirigakure. What's the emergency? Really. Ok, I'll be right there." She hangs up and smiles sadly at Armin. "I have to go now Armin. But I'll be back to visit you. I have a mission to help with and they really need my help. Do you want to be left alone?" Armin thinks about it and shakes his head.

"Alright, I'll be back before you know it." She gets up from her chair and heads for the door. "Bye, Armin."

She shuts the door behind her and the room is silent. Then Armin lets his tears come out and starts crying. Shura is out in the hall and hears him crying. She frowns and walks away. Sometime after that, Armin cries himself to sleep.
