Puzzle piece - Diary

The search continued, seconds turned to minutes. Minutes turned to hours. Eventually somebody found a large book stashed on top of Anastasia's closet. The pages were ripped from age and they were also turning brown. It was clear that this was old. On the front cover there was 2 small stickers. One of them said 'Anastasia' and the other one was a picture of a unicorn. Now Anastasia would find that immature but when she was 9 unicorns were her favourite animal.

One of the men opened the book carefully sliding his fingers across the pages, flipping them over gently. It was now certain that it was a diary.

The first page was Monday the 16th April : 9 years old. It was about school, meeting her best friend Diana who had "lit up her world." She had spelt the world friend as freind. Something she still did at age 16.

This book had over 5000 pages in it. There were obviously lots of books stapled together. It gradually got more sinister and depressing as the pages went on. Day 47 : my evil plan. This page was key. This is why, "I plan on murdering my parents in a couple nights, my father and mother at night around 2:00am. This is when they will be sleeping. I will take a large knife which I'm hoping will kill them instantly, if not in a couple minutes."

The police gasped at once after they had all read the page. She was nine years old planning a murder. They rushed to find the evidence from the night, the timings, the knife and if it was a close date to what Anastasia had written. Everything matched up, they had just found the key piece of the puzzle. The last piece. The piece of evidence that would get this criminal off the streets. Anastasia was a murderer, it seems that her attitude, her innocence was all an act. She clearly had no regrets on anything. She was crazy and should of been in a mental asylum years ago.
