The night was approaching. I could see it. The rebels will come, the people I've sent their way will delay them before proper authorities arrive. Then, It'll be that much easier.
I had to see everything with my own eyes. My goal right now was to make it to the tower near the library. From there, you can see the entire town. That'll be the place from where I'll watch my first victory. I had planned my path carefully. I must avoid all the students and teachers while still being able to arrive at the tower in time. I used mainly smaller streets, where I knew I wouldn't be seen. I was very close now. The tower was just across the main street. The last obstacle in my path. The moment when I stepped out of the shadows and into the crowded area, I heard a voice call my name.

???: "Tabi! Hey! Wait up!"

This was unpleasant. "Why now? Right now I have more important things to do? Who could be calling my name right now?" I slowly turned around, only to be shocked by the face I saw. It was Agna, one of the classmates I asked to confront the rebels.

Tabitha: "Agna?! What are you doing here?"

Agna: "I was just going to meet with you. I'm sorry, I know I'm a bit late, but I got too immersed in a new game I was playing."

I didn't know what to do. I quickly checked my mind to see the possible outcomes. The only thing I saw... was blood.

Tabitha: "Agna, I need you to go to the location where we were supposed to meet!"

Agna: "Why? It's just some old dark alley with nothing there. Now that we're both here, we can go wherever we want."

Tabitha: "You don't understand! You have to be there! There's no time left! You have to fight them!"

Agna was looking at me with a face filled with dread. "Did I say something scary? Is she afraid of a fight?"

Virion: "Miss Tabitha?"

Tabitha: "Not now Vir! Don't worry Agna, I promise I'll explain everything to you, but for now..."

Virion: "TABITHA!"

"WHAT?!"

I turned around. Then it finally hit me. The thing Agna saw and was so terrified of wasn't me. The rebels have entered the city. "How? How could it be? There were many people that way!" I quickly ran through multiple narrow alleys, trying to avoid all the rebels. When I arrived at the street my stomach turned inside out. "Did I do it wrong? How is this possible?" I kept on sprinting from alley to alley, with tears running down my face. Where I expected to find my classmates and teacher, I found only corpses. They didn't hesitate to kill anyone who stood in their path. I collapsed on the ground next to one of my friend's bodies, hoping that he'll move. I checked his pulse. Nothing. I kept on crying. "How could've I messed up so much? Bezu, my friends, teachers, all of them. They're dead because of me."
My string of thoughts was interrupted by Vir-Vir's shouting.

Virion: "Look out!"

Before I could even turn around I something really heavy hitting me to the back of my head. That's the last thing I remember from that day. When I woke up, I was locked up in a prison, with only a tiny window with metal bars letting some light into my cell. I got up. I was scared. I tried calling Vir-Vir, but he wasn't responding. I was completely alone. I slowly got up. I was a bit dizzy and my head hurt, but I was still alive. I took a peek through the window. What I saw was horrible. I saw people being enslaved by the other races. I saw people being tortured and executed by a tiny dwarf, while a crowd of elves was cheering and clapping. I quickly backed away from the window. Now was the time. I had to see what the possible futures can hold. I closed my eyes and took a look into the future. The only thing that I found was a completely white room. A shadowy figure appeared out of nowhere. A black cloak covered it's entire face, almost as if it didn't have any. It slowly levitated towards me and I could already see it's withered bony hands. It reached out to me with its hand. It was calling me.
I quickly returned back to present. I knew what that being was and I was even more scared. It was everywhere. No other options, just this. My fate was sealed. My future was next to Death.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've forgotten how long I've been locked up. It could've been many days. I remembered how I tried counting how many screaming people I could hear. I stopped after a while. Right now, the only thing I waited for was Death. And it came with a perfect timing.
Two men walked into my cell. They didn't say anything. They just grabbed me and carried me to a room with a massive wooden block. Next to me stood a young elven boy with a man wielding a massive axe right beside him. An executioner. I closed my eyes. I didn't want to die. "I wish I could fix it. To do what Bezu wanted me to do. I wish I could go back."

Then, I felt something soft touching my face. I opened my eyes. I was... back at home. In my bed. I quickly jumped out and looked at the date. A month before the attack. "I went... back in time?" It was then when I realized what Bezu meant when he said: "Only you can control the time". He wasn't talking about his powers. He wasn't talking about seeing the future. He was talking about altering the past.
