Calm before storm

These last few days have been crazy. Thanks to Vir-Vir's abilities, I've made so many new friends. I went from a talentless nobody to the most popular girl in school. Vir-Vir, however, always disappeared when I came home. I haven't spoken to him for a week. I wonder what he's up to.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today Vir-Vir came back, and not just that; he also woke me up at 5:30 AM; on Saturday.

Virion: "Tabitha, wake up! Hello? Wake up! WAKE UP!"

I've never heard Vir-Vir shout before; it was a bit unusual. I slowly got up from my bed and looked at the clock. For a second I thought that my mind is playing tricks on me.

Tabitha: "You woke me up at 5:30? Why???"

Virion: "There are important matters we have to discuss. Change into your normal clothing. I'll wait for you in the living room.

The way he spoke was once again so strange, yet cool and badass at the same time. Every time he was thinking about his new plans, he put his hands behind his back and stood perfectly straight, like some sort of a general.
I got up, still feeling incredibly sleepy. I was so tired, I wasn't sure if I was awake. It could've all just been a dream and I wouldn't have probably noticed. I slowly walked towards my wardrobe. For a second I started to wonder if Vir-Vir ever tried to look around my apartment. He seems too polite to do so without my permission, but surely he has to be curious. Once I put my casual clothes on, I went to the living room. My hair looked like a cat struck by lightning.

Virion: "Alright, grab a piece of paper and start writing."

Tabitha: "Is this a test?"

Virion: "Just do as I say."

I had no reason to question Vir-Vir's "commands". He always had reasons for everything. I wanted to look into the future to see what he's planning but I ever since the time travel I was too scared to use my powers again. Who knows what future might be waiting for me. Can't believe that Bezu managed to maintain his sanity while using it.
I grabbed a piece of paper and a pencil. Vir-Vir started to name things, which reminded ingredients for a potion. I was never really good with potions, so I had no idea what he was up to.

Virion: "Alright. Now grab those ingredients from the cupboard and mix them together, just as I've told you."

It felt like a chemistry class. Why did he want me to make a potion so early? I knew that if I disobeyed, he'd want to persuade me and I was too tired for that. I just mixed the ingredients and in about 5 minutes I had a bright green potion.

Tabitha: "Alright, what now?"

Virion: "Now drink it."

Tabitha: "What?! No way!"

Virion: "Believe me and just drink it. It's not so bad."

I took another look at the potion. It was bright green in color. It looked like an ink from a marker. With a quiet sigh, I drank the potion. The taste was very unique. I was expecting something terrible, but it was sweet and sour. Suddenly, I felt like I've been reborn. Filled with energy and ready for anything.

Tabitha: "Woah! What was that elixir?"

Virion: "DEERR!"

For a second I thought that the potion made me deaf or stupid. With a very confused look, I asked Virion again.

Tabitha: "What?"

Virion: "The official name is DEERR! Drastical Emergency Energy Restoration Remedy. But we students simply call it 'energy drink'. It's quite a popular thing in my time."

I finally realized why he made me create that potion. He wanted to wake me up. Now that I was ready, we sat down and Vir-Vir started to explain the next steps of his plan.
He instructed me to look at a magazine he made me buy a few days ago. At page 27 was a huge advertisement for a video game tournament.

Tabitha: "That's... interesting. What about it?"

Virion: "Agna like Video games. She can't join the tournament because she lacks a proper team. If we manage to find three more players, we can win it.

Tabitha: "How will a victory in a video game tournament help us save the future?"

Virion: "Just trust me. It would take far too long to explain everything. You'll get it once it happens."

I hated when he refused to give me more info but at the same time, I liked to figure things out on my own.

Tabitha: "So what's the plan?"

Virion: "You're going to call Lyn exactly at 6:30 and ask her to come over to your apartment. Right after the call you'll fix your messy hair and walk around the block three times. You'll figure out the rest. I'll be with you soon. Good luck."

With this, he disappeared. It felt like one big prank, but if he truly had a reason for all this nonsense, then it must be important. This time, I decided to leave it completely to Vir-Vir. He was much more mature and responsible than me.
At precisely 6:30, I called Lyn. She was a big nerd from my school and a huge fan of video games, just like Agna. I did exactly as Vir-Vir instructed me. I told her to come over to my place because I need her help with a homework. She was a bit angry that I woke her up, but agreed anyway. My popularity opened many doors for me.
I brushed my hair, fixed my morning look, grabbed my bag and went out of the apartment. Three times around the block. I didn't properly understand why Vir-Vir wanted me to do it until I did the third lap. In a small side alley, I saw Lyn, being threatened by some bullies from my school. Those girls were my friends as well. Well... more like my fans than friends. Suddenly, a smooth voice nearly scared the hell out of me.

Virion: "You ready? This is not going to be easy."
