The day of the tournament finally came. It was early in the morning. As usually, Vir-Vir woke me up just on time. He works better than the most alarm clock. I did my hair, dressed up in some comfortable clothes and stepped out into the streets. This time, Vir-Vir walked with me. He usually avoided traveling along and only appeared when he needed to, but this time, he decided to stick around. It was nice to have some company. I even came up with a perfect way to talk to Vir-Vir. I bought a cheap hands-free communication device from a store near my apartment and came up with more great ideas that I didn't tell Vir-Vir about just yet. With the device on my ear, I could talk to Vir-Vir how much I wanted and nobody thought I was crazy. We were talking the whole way to the arcade, but just as we were to enter it, Vir-Vir stopped for a second; looking around with a concerned face.
Tabitha: "Huh? Is something wrong?"
Virion: "Look around. Carefully. Don't draw attention to you?"
Tabitha: "Sale?"
After the realization that an assassin might be after me, we decided to use a secret code in case of danger. We went with "sale", which wouldn't be an uncommon thing to say while outside.
Virion: "No, no. Look."
I looked around. I started to noticed a slight pattern.
Tabitha: "Most of the people are arguing. They all seem so angry."
Virion: "Yeah. They weren't like that before. This town used to be so cheerful."
He pointed towards a market stand. The salesman was arguing with an old lady.
Virion: "She just asked him about how his sales are going and he got all angry. Something is not right. What would make so many people so angry like that?"
???: "Discord?"
I turned around. A large orc was standing behind me, carrying a heavy box.
Tabitha: "Excuse me?"
Orc: "Oh, nothing. Just that thing on your ear. It looked like a discord. You know... the communication device."
Tabitha: "Oh, sorry. This is a ladybug. I've... never heard about Discord."
Virion: "SALE!"
Tabitha: "Sorry, I'm in a hurry. Have a nice day."
With those words, I started running; Vir-Vir was right next to me.
Tabitha: "What happened? What did you see?"
Virion: "Stop! We're safe."
