The train was surprisingly dead silent. There was normally at least some small talk and chatter, but it was nothing but quiet. No one was talking. Lucy was one of the few who were actually on the train.

I'll only be there for a couple of minutes. She thought. She hadn't been back at 'home' since the whole ball incident. Lucy held tightly onto her pressed flower pendant from Natsu. It always gave her hope and helped her keep going even when she didn't even believe in herself.

The train stopped at the station. Lucy took a deep breath in, and stepped out of the train. She walked a few blocks, her feet were aching since she was wearing heeled wedges. Then she was standing right in front of the old yellow mansion.

She walked through the gardens, admiring the scenery. It might've been a beautiful land, but the person who inhabited the house was nothing but ugly. Lucy opened the door, she didn't bother to knock. After all, it was her old home.

The foyer was huge, like usual. Lucy forgot what her old house really looked like, but she remembered that her father spent most of his time in his office. She walked up the tall and long staircase up to the second floor. She could've taken the elevator, but she decided against it.

Two large doors were presented in front of her, the doors to Jude's Office. She walked up to the doors very carefully and put her ears to the door to listen in.

Yes, she lives in Magnolia.

I need her to expand my territory.

No, you just need to bring her back to the mansion.

The apartment complex she's living in is-

Just then, Lucy barged through the doors. Jude looked up and saw Lucy and hung up the phone. "Good afternoon, I was waiting for you to come back." He said, setting down the phone. "Since your little friend ruined the last ball, I decided that you will marry Loke."

Lucy walked up to her father, who was standing behind his desk. She walked ferociously, as if she was blood thirsty. "What did you just say?" She asked.

Jude held up the arranged marriage papers to Lucy. "You will marry Loke." Lucy took the papers from her father and ripped them in half. The ripped pieces of paper fell to the ground.

"Lucy Heartfilia!" Jude screamed. "Why the hell did you just do that?" Lucy stomped over the ripped pieces of paper, crumbling them even more.

"I make the decisions, not you!" She yelled back. Veins were popping out of Jude's forehead, it reminded Lucy of Gray's anger. Jude clenched his fists and punched his desk.

"I am your father, Lucy!" He said angrily. Lucy chuckled and kicked his desk, causing many business papers and pens to fall over.

"I'm twenty years old, I can make my own decisions, Jude." Lucy couldn't even call him 'father' or 'dad'. He was no father figure to her, not at all.

Lucy started heading for the doors. "Get back here! Lucy Heartfilia, I command you to stop walking!" Lucy stopped walking on her own will. She dramatically turned around and faced her father.

"You know, I believe that you wouldn't be like this if Mom were around." She said sadly. "You better not mess with me or my new life." That sadness soon turned into rage. All Jude ever did was cause Lucy heartbreak and sorrow, it was time for him to give in.

Lucy walked out of her old home. She visited her mother's grave before she left. What she said was nothing but truth, if Layla were still alive, maybe Jude would be different. Yet if Layla were alive, Lucy most likely would've never met Natsu, Gray, or even Erza.
