LET GO
In about an hour, or more than that considering it wasn't three in the afternoon yet, Ten and Youngmi had to leave for the week-long dance competition in Busan.
It's been a month since Ten said those words, after everything, they ended up acting like it never happened.
Ten was guilty about loving someone else while in a relationship, so he called May to meet him at a playground near her home, planning to stop things as it was the right thing to do.
"Hey, what's wrong? You're leaving in an hour." May spoke as she walked closer to her boyfriend.
Ten bit his lip, thrusting upward lightly to move the swing he was sitting on. May sat on the swing beside him and started doing the same. Somehow she felt like she knew what was going to happen.
"Let's talk." And there it was, the words she needed to conclude what was about to happen.
"Okay? What about?" But silently May was also praying it wouldn't be what she thought it was.
"Let's..." Ten started, not knowing how to continue.
"Stop, I know what it's going to be. So, I'll be the one to say it." May cut him off so Ten kept quiet.
"Ten, I know you like Youngmi. I see the way you look at her whenever I bring you snacks to your practice. Although I knew, I held on because I also wanted to be happy. I'm not saying if you're happy, I am too because that's a complete lie. But you also deserve to be happy, I've been selfish for too long. If you're happy, what can I do? I'll just have to learn to accept it. I'll be alright, you don't have to feel bad. So..." She paused for a bit.
When her watch beeped, 3:00pm, May took a deep breath before she said, "I let you go, let's breakup. Now go, run to Youngmi, I know the two of you are perfect for each other."
