“Oh! Right, you guys don’t know him,” I laugh. “Tobi, Kasey, this is Callen,” I smile. Callen gives a wave since he still has food in his mouth. “He’s hot,” Kasey starts, being finished by Tobi. “And probably taken,” she pouts. Callen chuckles smoothly, and speaks up. “I’m not ashamed to say that you are right. I indeed have a girlfriend, and I love her very much,” his voice is liquid gold. ‘He’s using his charm again’ “Who is it? Cause she sure as hell is lucky.” Tobi states, taking a bite out of her bacon slice. “Well…” I start. Callen laces his hand through mine, “Eileen is my girlfriend.” I blush and Kasey’s jaw drops, “No way.” She gapes. “Eileen! SLaY girl!” Tobi shouts, before imitating a wolf’s howl. I laugh, shaking my head at the two girls. “Gotta give you props bro, must be hard being in separate cabins and not in each other’s pa-!” Tobi starts before I cover her mouth, blushing so hard I could easily put a firetruck to shame. “In time,” Callen states, giving me a wink. My eyes go wide and I hide my face in my hoodie. “Oh?” Tobi says in a sassy voice. “Eileen! How scandalous!” She laughs. Callen laughs as well, rubbing my back in an attempt to calm me down. I give a shy smile and he motions for me to finishing eating. I comply, taking into account the look of jealousy on Kasey's features, “You good?” I ask. “Yeah, I'm fine,” she replies, shortly. “Ok, now the truth,” I instruct, not buying her act. “Really, I'm ok.” She insists with a fake smile. “If you say so…” I mumble, going to throw away my empty plate. An ear piercing feedback sound, fills the pavilion. “Attention recruits! Today's training will teach you to work in partnerships, choose a person from a different house and line up on the bleachers! Go!” The director shouts. I look over to Callen and he smiles, walking over to me, “Ready for this?” He asks. I nod, walking beside him over to the bleachers. “We're gonna blow the roof off this place, right?” I smirk, my confident side showing through. “Of course,” Callen replies. I look around at the partnerships and see that Tobi has paired with a guy named Caleb. She waves at me and I smile, before turning to look at Kasey and her partner David. They seem to be getting along great…. That's good, she won't be so dependent on Tobi and I with him around. I smile to myself and turn back to Callen. “Ok, Callen and Eileen, Kasey and David, and Tobi and Caleb. You three pairs will demo for us. I want you to begin with a simple power sparring match, go!” The director instructs. Callen and I walk into the ring and ready our weaker abilities. Storm clouds form above my head, and thunder crashes alongside it. I watch as a black mist forms at Callen’s feet, and around his hands. His teleportation skills are growing more powerful, that’s good, for him at least.
