Divine (Daniel Sahyounie) Chapter 6- Moments
May 31st
Daniel's Point Of View
"I'm gonna go make breakfast." I silently sent the signal for the boys to follow so we could talk.
"Seriously, a kid, Daniel. I thought you knew enough to wrap one." James spoke up first. "Diana showed me the places that Divine would have had to go to if it wasn't for Daniel." Jai said, sitting on the counter.
"What about touring?" Beau asked. "Take her with us, I guess." I shrugged.
"What about schooling?" James asked. "Online? She has a bit of time until kindergarten though." I answered.
"What about her room? She cant just sleep in your room forever." James added. "Diana said that she could do all that for me."
"Okay, so who the hell is Diana?" Luke asked. "A lady from the jail." I answered.
"What about fans? What do you think they'll say?" James asked. What was this, twenty questions? "She's really adorable, so I don't think they'll give much hate. They might get a bit freaked over the baby mummy." Beau said, looking through the fridge.
"What about your mum, what did she say?" Beau asked, opening a bottled water. "Mum! I forgot to call her! What if she flips shit!?" My eyes widened, just thinking about her reaction. "Well, you should go to her house to talk, I don't think she would enjoy the news over the phone. She was a single mum too, so I don't think she'll flip out too much."
"So you lads are cool with this?" I asked. "As long as she doesn't cry too much." Luke said, the guys nodded. "Agreed, if she doesn't cry a lot, there won't be much of a problem." James added.
"Well, I gotta text Diana, if we do Divine's room today, would you help?" I pulled out my phone, getting ready to text Diana. "Yeah, we aren't doing anything." Jai replied.
"Hey, the guys said they would help whenever you want to do her room. Thanks again for this"
"Yeah, no problem. I don't think it'll rain today, so we can start in about two hours."
"You dropped my marshmallow!" Divine yelled. "Here, we can get you a new one." Jai replied, putting a new marshmallow on the stick to make s'mores.
We had finished her room - surprisingly - in one day. Divine loved it, claiming that it "Looks almost as Divine as me!"
Now it was about eight, we ate pizza for dinner, and now, we were making s'mores.
While we were making s'mores, we were trying to teach Divine how to work twitter and instagram, since we made her one.
We posted a picture of Divine standing up by the fire baking her s'more to instagram and twitter.
About an hour later, I had bathed her and put lotion on her, before putting her pajamas on. I carried her downstairs and she laid her head on my shoulder.
Luke, Beau, and James were in the kitchen when I went down. "What do you want to drink?" I asked her, as I opened the fridge. She lifted her head up and looked at the options. "Apple juice." Divine answered. I grabbed the apple juice and went to grab a cup.
"Aren't kid supposed to drink from sippy cups?" I asked. "I dunno." Luke said. "Yeah, I think they are." James answered.
"Well you can drink from a cup right, Divine?" I turned my head to her. "No, I spill." Divine shook her head.
Great. Why is it so damn expensive to have a kid?
"Drink from a water bottle." James suggested. I pulled out a water bottle that had LA across it and filled it with apple juice. I screwed the cap on then took her upstairs.
It took about thirty minutes to put Divine to sleep, once she was, I went back downstairs to the kitchen.
"So, I guess we have to go shopping for Divine." James said and I shrugged. "I guess. They gave me all the clothes Divine had and even then, there wasn't much." I shrugged. "Yeah, we can do that tomorrow." James replied. We all said goodnight and James stopped before walking up stairs.
"I really think you are gonna be an amazing father."
"In the end, it is not the day or the years that we remember, but the moments."
