"Honestly, it was a year ago. Let's just get moving and get rid of the scrap." She licked her lips and pulled her bag onto her shoulder.

"Scrap? Am I the scrap?" Doug asked, insulted. Cait made her way out of the ally. At first I was willing to go follow her, but a feeling changed. I bent down quickly to Doug and whispered "If you promise not to kill Cait, you can come with us." He nodded vigorously, so I untied him. We then made our way to Cait.

As I walked beside her, I noticed her lips fall into a straight line and her eye glazed over as if she didn't feel in the mood for anything. Like this trip somehow seemed useless.

"I heard we can find a map to the first key in a chest underneath the North Tree park." She stated. I knew that place. In fact, I used to go with my younger sister, so she could play with her friends. Now, I really wish I had spent more time playing at the park. It was silent for half the journey until Douglas asked my name.

"Danny." I said.

"Danny? Sounds pretty." I looked down and blushed thanking him.

"Don't go flirting with that guy. You'll regret it." Cait commented. I guess she really had it out for him.

Out of the blue, I noticed a drug store. "Anyone looking to shop?" I announced as my stomach growled. We hopped to the door which couldn't slide like a fixed one. I ducked my head and crawled through the broken glass inevitably scraping my arm. The others did the same except scratch free leaving me green with envy. We quietly lurked around grabbing a fabric bag. Cait threw some medicine and food my way, while Doug dumped drinks and blankets into the bag. I got some pillows and a small tent. After all, we could use the shelter.

In the distance, I heard a rustle. I gazed at the mirror above the aisle and saw a woman bent over, making her way to us. Pssst. I whispered. They didn't even glimpse at me. Psssssst. I whispered once more. Cait and Douglas looked up when I gestured to the mirror. Cait slowly pulled out her dagger from her boot. Doug set up his bow and arrows. I just had a pen from the shelf next to me. We waited patiently, but it seemed to be that the woman close to us saw the mirror too because as we waited, she snuck up behind me and pulled me in with her arm. A gun lifted from her other arm.

"Hurt me and she goes down too." The woman said. My eyes widened.

"Please you don't have to do this no one wants to hurt you. We can befriend each other, and walk away scratch less." I pleaded.

"Oh I don't think so, Hun, cause that's not house it works here." Her voice had a shake to it. Cait put her hands up, easing her way closer to the woman and me. Her silence was all I needed to know Cait mind was thinking up a bad idea.

In the moment, Cait promptly pulled the dagger from her sleeve threw it at the woman who got her cheek cut. She let go of me and covered her mark. I heard a bullet hit Douglas and immediately kicked the gun out of her hands and pinned her down.

" I don't want to kill you, but I won't hesitate if you don't just leave now." I murmured in her ear. She hastily ran out.

"What are you doing?! She knows our faces now. You should have killed her." Cait shouted. I told her there was no use, and there definitely was gonna be a reason to when they find all 3 keys. We were gonna put an end to this game. That's when I noticed Doug on the ground. He had been shot in the leg.

"Cait, could you help me get this bullet out?" There was no reply. Instead, she folded her arms and looked away. "Cait, this is not the time." We both glared at each other until she finally gave up, and made her way over to Doug. I tied his leg up after, and he tried to hobble up.

"I guess wish should camp out for a while and get some sleep." I said looking out at the moon.
