We began walking away from the site, but we unfortunately stopped after picking up on the sound of a Jeep rolling onto small rocks. We turned around to see two intimidating individuals jumping out of a vehicle onto the playground. One was a girl with messy, brown hair and tan skin. She swiped two red lines on each side of her cheeks and held a feather behind her right ear. The other one was short with red hair and chubby cheeks. The one with red hair looked like a push over, but I wasn't taking any chances.
I pushed us all behind a bench to hide away from them. From the looks of it, we were not competition because they held Assault Shotguns and Rifles. Although that Jeep looked useful and the only way we could possibly get it was to quickly jump in while they were out and ride like we were going to die. Because we were.
I Told Doug and Cait the plan, but Doug thought I was crazy. "No, I think Danny's onto something. But we have to make it count. Don't die guys." Cait went on.
"Oh yeah, no problem." Doug shot. The two with guns walked by the first and second playground, then stopped at the third.
"Guys, stop bickering. Now is our chance." I whispered, army crawling toward the car. I looked over at them. One was kneeling, digging possibly for the key, and the other one was standing. My heart was beating so fast, I thought for a moment they would break their concentration to wonder what that sound was. That sound was my heart, don't worry.
We were only inches away from the car when a shot went off. I checked to see if anyone behind me was ok. They both seemed to still be breathing. Behind us were the two people plus 3 more. They looked like they were setting up for a fight. I sped my pace towards the Jeep until finally I was able to hop in. Cait and Doug followed right after.
"Great! Does anyone know how to hot wire a car?" Doug sarcastically asked. Now, I was aggravated.
"Why do you think i'm in the driver's seat?" I announced smacking him upside the head. 1 minute, 2 minutes, 3 past by as we were drowning in the sound in the sound of gunshots and knifes hitting other metal. I gazed up every now and then to check if anyone could see us. Nothing was happening. I twisted two cords together, but they didn't click. Finally, after all the stress, I successfully achieved a running Jeep. Before the owners noticed, I drove as fast as I could the other way and past a couple corners, so they couldn't find us. "Doug, are there plates on here?"
He looked back to see if he spotted any plates, but instead he spotted something much more petrifying.
