I am doing well. I have started a new family, and you have new half siblings, and a new mother. I hope you and Lori and Nathaniel and Collin are doing well. I send this to your grandmother's address because I don't know where you are, but she will forward it to you.
I hope you come visit me soon. My address is apartment 2B in the Flower apartments in Berkeley,California. Love, Dad"
I finish reading the letter out loud to Toby. "I wanna meet him."
"Athena, are you sure?"
"Yes Toby, I don't lie and you know it."
"Okay Athena, I get my driver's license on Monday, and we can leave on June 1st. The last day of school, beginning of summer. Okay?"
"Toby, you're coming with me?!"
"Of course I'm coming with you. I know all about traveling, and this man left you five years ago. Your not doing this alone."
"So June first?" I ask.
"June First." He replies.
