Chapter 7: Breaking out

Some of you might not know this, but I can draw and I drew what I think Ruby would look like. 

Of course you can imagine her as anything you want but this is how she looks in my mind.

Tony rounded a corner and saw Bucky fight off agent after agent, and then something catches his eyes. Ruby was sneaking from behind some of the bars, getting closer to Bucky. Tony shot a beam at Bucky to withdraw his attention. Bucky looked at Tony and started to walk towards him before a flash lights and he ducked down to avoid it.

"Winter!!!" Ruby suddenly shouted and raised her hands. "Snap out of it!"

Bucky turned and frown. Someone used to call him that. Someone who he used to take care of. But then he turned to Tony and tired to shot him, only for Tony to grab the gun with his iron hand and make a small bomb sound. Bucky elbowed Tony in the face and pushed him backwards. As he walked over to Tony, Sharon got in his way and they traded a few kicks and punches before he threw her on a table, breaking it. Then Natasha swooped her legs around his neck and elbowed his head over and over again before he threw her onto a table and squeezed his metal hand around her neck.

"You can at least recognize me" She managed to spit out

Just when she was about to pass out, Bucky's metal arm swung upwards. Natasha quickly moved from the table as Bucky stood still, not able to move. The force that was holding him then turned him around and he became face to face with Ruby.

"Enough" She said as blood came from her nose. "Now remember you dipshit. I'm 3. Remember"

Bucky looked shocked. Something about this girl he remembers. Something, but...he just can't recall it. He didn't know this girl, so why did he suddenly not want to hurt her? But he shook his head a bit and then tried with all his strength to get out of the force that was holding him. The more he struggled the more Ruby got weaker until she fell to her knees. Bucky was just feet away from her, but she tried to hold him in place even though she could taste the blood that was coming from her nose.

"Stop struggling" She spit out, but Bucky continued until eventually she couldn't take it anymore and let go.

When she let go, Bucky walked towards her and kicked her straight in the chest causing her to be shoved backward and hit a wall hard. Then T'Challa came in, showing no mercy, punching and kicking Bucky. He punched Bucky in the face and he retaliated with a shove to the chest. Bucky pulled Ruby off the ground harshly and pulled her over his shoulders. Then he walked up the stairs and to the exit

"Wait...no, Winter...Put me down!" She tried to shout but she felt worn out.

She pulls herself to the ground, trying to squeeze out his arms, but then he grabs her with his metal hand and continues. She was too exhausted to pull his hand from her using her powers. She used up all of her energy. Just then she looks up and sees Tony. He looks at her then quickly runs towards her but easily gets punch by Bucky.

"Dad!" Ruby shouts when she sees Tony on the ground. Bucky then trades his arm and punches her hard in the side of the head with his metal hand, causing her to pass out.

Bucky pulls Ruby on his shoulder, her face and arms dangling from behind him, and continues to walk. T'Challa showed back up, and noticed Ruby in his arms not moving.

"To harm a child, heartless" He simply said.

Bucky laid her on the ground and they start fighting again. They both tumbled down the stairs and fought more vigorously. T'Challa punched Bucky and then kicked him, he fell over the railing. As Bucky fell, T'Challa followed but found nothing. Bucky disappeared, and he took the girl with him.

Bucky walked to the helicopter and pulled the handle off while Ruby was still unconscious. He threw her in the helicopter then got in himself. He knew that she was somehow involved with him in his past, but he just can't remember. Steve raced up to the roof after finding out from Tony that Bucky took Ruby. And while they did have some kind of history, Bucky was in solider mode, and that's way too dangerous for a kid.

As he saw the helicopter start to take off he leaped and grabbed the bar of the helicopter's bottom and the helicopter turned from his weight. Ruby turned with the helicopter but then Bucky put an arm stopping her from moving. Steve struggled to keep the helicopter on the launch pad, using all of his inhuman strength to hold it down. Bucky turned and made the helicopter crash into the launch pad then grabbed Ruby to shield her from it. Steve scrambled away from the helicopter as it crashed, then when it came to a stop he quickly rushed towards it trying to find Ruby, only for Bucky to reach and grab him by the neck. When the helicopter started to fall Steve held it using all his strength to try and keep it on the ledge, but it was too late. Bucky, Steve, and Ruby all fell together into the water.

As the helicopter sank, Steve opened his eyes under water and saw Ruby, Floating, motionless, eyes closed. He reached out and grabbed her and Bucky then swam up the bank of the river. He set them up, and then scrambled up after. He first checked Bucky's pulse and sighed when he found it. He turned to Ruby and checked....but then wasn't a pulse. He put a finger under her nose and found that she wasn't breathing.

"Oh god" He said and places one hand over the other on her chest. "1...2...3" He pressed her chest then squeezed her nose and tilted her head upwards. He gave her rescue breaths, then did the whole thing all over again. After the third time Ruby suddenly jerks up and coughs up water. When she finished she lay back on the ground and looked up at Steve.

"Thanks." She said weakly. "I guess I owe you my life now"

"Relax, kid" He told her and sat down beside her. "You did good"

Guys or gurls...pleases don't be quite. I really want to know what you think about my story.  And tell me if you want long or short chapters cause to be honset i have no idea. 

Anyways....
