Chapter 8: The Secrets Comes Out

Mason's POV

Kate and I walked down the stairs to the front door, I looked at the door which I felt sad, I pulled my hand away from Kate's, "No...you're not the one for me, this game was a bad Idea." I said. Kate looked at Mason, "I know...but I didn't think it would go down this route, I wished we never kissed." Kate said. "I don't know about you...but I'm going to make things right." I said and left the room, trying not to get the sadness to me. Kate followed Mason, "Mason I don't think you would be able to fix this...Rainbow looks very sad right now." Kate said. I looked at Kate, "I don't care Kate...I-I'll be sad...and I might try to kill myself." I said and left the room, ears flattening. Kate looked at Mason with a concerned look on her face, "Mason are you really going to kill yourself if she rejects you?" Kate said worriedly. "Yeah, I'll kill myself but Rainbow won't care...not if she accepts me again." I said as I went to go look for Rainbow. Kate sighed, "Well I'm going to join you just in case you want to kill yourself because I want to try to find Max!" Kate said. I sighed, "Join or not, your choice, Rainbow!" I called out. "Mason you do know this is a big house right...Max and Rainbow could be anywhere!" Kate said. "Then I'll look everywhere, Rainbow! Max!" I called out and looked around. "Should we start with her room first?" Kate asked. "You know what lets just spilt up." I said with a sigh as he went to Rainbow's room. "O-Okay then, Max!" Kate yelled then went to the top floor. I knocked on the door, unknowing if anyone was on the other side, "Rainbow? Max?" I called out again. Rainbow hears knocking at the door and hides under the bedsheets. I open the and looked around, I sighed when I couldn't see her and looked at her desk, I saw a picture of Rainbow and me and picked it up. Rainbow peeked at Mason from under the bedsheets trying not to laugh at Mason's stupidity. I sighed, "I wish I could tell Rainbow how sorry I am... it didn't mean to happen...Kate made the first move...not me...now she hates me...and so does Max...I'm a worthless fox..." I said and began crying while hugging the photo.

Rainbow's POV

I sighed and quietly got out from under the bedsheets, "Well you could've backed away but I guess you couldn't..." I said. Mason turned to see Rainbow, "W-Will you forgive me?" Mason asked sadly. "What are you going to do if I say no?" I asked. Mason sighed, "I'll have nothing to live for...I'll cut myself and hang myself..." Mason told Rainbow and then looked away from her. "Well, I don't wanna see you like that!" I said with a frightened expression on my face. Mason looked away sadly and whimpered, something he would rarely do, his ears flattened. I looked at Mason, "D-Did you just whimper?" I asked. Mason softly nodded as he looked down while he sat down on the floor, "There are many things about me...no one wanted to be my friend because of that...that's why Max is my best friend...he was the only one that understood me." Mason said. I sit on the floor with Mason, "Max was actually my first friends when I moved here...I also remembered when I met you..." I said. "Yeah...we became good friends...you were the one girl in my life who never left me, all the other girls would just reject me or call me terrible names...but you didn't." Mason said and wiped his eyes. I started to cry, "M-Mason I didn't know that you were rejected so many times...I didn't know you went through all of that..." I said. "It's okay Rainbow..." Mason said and placed his arm around her, "You didn't know, and that's okay, when I fell in love with you and you accepted me, you were all that mattered, no other girl, just you and Max." Mason said. "I-I don't know what to say..." I said with tears coming out of my eyes. "Rainbow...I'm gonna ask you...will you accept me again?" Mason asked. "What would you do if I said yes..." I asked. "I'll be like my normal self...my real...normal self." Mason replied to Rainbow. "W-What do you mean by your real normal self?" I asked. "I've been hiding a lot from you...but now that you have heard my struggles and understand me... I'll be in my normal self around you...share my secrets..." Mason said. I sighed, "I have secrets too and I moved here because of what happened in the past..." I said looking at the ground while crying. "What happened in your past?" Mason asked and wiped her eyes. "I-I don't like talking about it really because of my family and what happened to them..." I said. "Oh...I...I understand." Mason said and hugged Rainbow. "I mean I can tell you but you have to tell me any of your secrets first." I said as I got up off the floor and sat on my bed. "Okay." Mason said an got off the floor and sat on the bed with Rainbow, "I...I wasn't always a hybrid..." Mason began. "Wait really! I didn't know that! I always thought you were born with fluffy ears!" I said surprised. Mason sighed the giggled, "When I was 7 years old...I was...kidnapped...and changed into this...after I was done and useless to them, they threw me back to my family, my once loving family became abusive to me." Mason said and tried holding back the tears but failed. "Mason, I'm really sorry about that..." I said while wiping Mason's eyes. Mason nodded, "I ran away and lived somewhere with parents that adopted me...and raised me better, after a few years...I began learning a few secrets about my new body." Mason said. "That's great! Well, you can stop there if you want me to tell you my secret..." I said.

Mason's POV

"Yeah, besides, I want to show you my secret later." I said. "Well okay, When I was 4 years old a murderer killed my Mom and Dad, They died trying to save me because I was the murderer's hostage..." Rainbow said with tears coming out of her eyes. "It was really scary Mason..." Rainbow said as tears ran down her face. "It's alright." I said and placed my hand on her shoulder. "Thanks, Mason...anyways what was the secret you wanted to show me?" Rainbow asked. "Well...I um..." I said and mumbled the secret, "I can..." "Mason I really want to see what it is!" Rainbow said. I sighed, "Okay just don't hug me to death." I said. "Okay Mason, I promise I won't hug you to death." Rainbow said with a giggle. I giggled and transformed into a fox and looked down, "Well?" I said. "Oh! You look like a furball!" Rainbow said trying not to squeal because of the cuteness. I sighed and playfully rolled my eyes and sighed, "I wish...you could be like me...a hybrid." I said. Rainbow sighed, "I wish I could be a hybrid too but I don't think we can just make a spell or a simple potion to do that..." Rainbow said. "Maybe we can." I said and looked at Rainbow, tail wagging. "What? How?" Rainbow asked. "I mean...we could try the same thing that happened to me!" I said. Rainbow jumped, "I don't think I could handle that..." Rainbow said. "You're going to be fine! Rainbow sighed, "Are you sure?" Rainbow asked. "Yes...it's...well...not painful." I said as I sighed and rubbed my head against Rainbow.

Rainbow's POV

I sighed, "Well I guess we can do it then." I said. Mason smiled at Rainbow, "It won't hurt much." Mason said. "Okay, Mason." I said with a smile back. Mason smiled and purred. I giggle, "You're so cute when you purr." I said then kissed Mason on the cheek. Mason blushed under his fur and snuggled up against Rainbow. "Mason, when are we actually going to do this?" I asked. Mason shrugged, "I don't know...tomorrow?" Mason said. "Sounds okay to me...You can also stay here for tonight..." I said while blushing a little. "Okay." Mason said as he felt happy again. I looked around the room, "I wonder where Max is and what happened to Kate?" I asked.

Kate's POV

Max was in a room alone as he cried. I walked upstairs and knocked on a door, "Max are you in there?" I said. Max sighed, "Go away!" Max said as he hugged the death out a pillow. I opened the door, Max I couldn't help myself...I'm sorry." I said with a sad look on my face. "Yet you still kissed him!" Max yelled as he looked away from Kate. I sit on the ground and look through my pictures on my phone, "I remember the day where you and I got Rainbow and Mason together..." I said. Max began to grow a smile, "M-Me too, Kate, should we just forget that this ever happened and continue with our normal lives?" Max asked. "No!" I yelled with a giggle. Max sighed, We were so purrfect for each other..." Max said with a frown. I sighed, "Okay..." I said. "So...back together again?" Max asked. "I mean I would say yes but...I already found someone..." I said while blushing a bit. Max frowned, "Oh..." Max said and sighed sadly. "Do you wanna know who that person is?" I said while walking up to Max. "Who?" Max asked sadly. "You silly goose!" I said, giggled, then kissed Max on the cheek. Max blushed and hugged Kate, smiling, "I love you." I hugged Max back, "I love you too." Max smiled and got up from the bed with Kate while holding her hand, "Let's go find Rain and Mason." Max said. Kate looked at Max confused, who's Rain?" I asked. Max laughed, "Rainbow." Max said. I laughed, "Oh okay Maxey let's go find them!" I yelled. Max rolled his eyes and smiled, "Let's go!" Max said.

Rainbow's POV

Mason yawned and laid on Rainbow's leg and closed his eyes. I smiled and took Mason to my bed, "You can sleep here for tonight." I said then laid next to him and closed my eyes. Mason snuggled up against Rainbow as he purred and started to sleep. I smiled and started to doze off. Max and Kate went into Rainbow's room and saw the two sleeping. Kate grabbed her phone out of her pocket and took a picture of Rainbow and Mason sleeping together. Max smiled and quietly laughed at the picture with Kate and then left the room and house for that night.

This chapter was made with a roleplay me and @FoxBoy33 did together and this took me 3 days and this may be the longest chapter.
