Chapter 9: The Experiment

Kate's POV

Kate woke up in her bed and yawned, "I don't wanna get out of bed..." I said. I looked beside me to see Max and blushed, "Why is Max in my bed!" I whispered. "Max is in your bed because he loves you." Max said with his eyes closed. I looked at Max, "I thought you were sleep and why are you in my bed!" I yelled as I got out of bed. "I didn't feel like walking home so I stayed here." Max said. "Well that makes sense but why did you decide to sleep in my bed?" I asked. "Max decided to sleep in your bed because he was to lazy to walk home." Max replied. Kate didn't say anything she just walked slowly out of the room and then down to the kitchen to get something to eat. "Well, that's Kate...I better go see what she's up to so she doesn't burn down her own house." Max said with a giggle. Kate giggled, "Max was super cute not to mention when he sleeps but that's just me." I said to myself. "I better make breakfast but I can't do that yet..." Kate turned on some music. "Yeah! Now I can make some breakfast!" "I wonder if Rainbow's still sleep...pobably still sleep but I bet Mason is awake or I hope because if now Rainbow is awake she is going to be flipping out.

Rainbow's POV

Rainbow wakes up. "Well, that was a weird night... I wonder.." Rainbow looks over to see Mason in his human form sleeping. "Yes! Time to get crunk!" I whispered. Rainbow goes to her closet, grabs her footie cat pajamas, and goes into her bathroom to change. Later Rainbow comes out of the bathroom with her pajamas on, "I can't wait to party even if it's 9:00 in the morning and people are probably still sleeping!" I said once I walked out of the room and closed the door. Rainbow runs downstairs. "If I want to party I need music now what should I put on? Oh I know a song, Kate showed me when I lived in New York I think the song is called "Party Rock Anthem" a song made by a band called LMFAO made anyways..." Rainbow plays the music on her phone that's connected to speakers and then dances like there's no tomorrow.

Mason's POV
Mason wakes up to music coming from downstairs, "Why do I hear music? Ugh...my head is hurting like hell from this music or maybe because I fell down? I don't know anymore..." Mason looks beside him to see Rainbow gone. "Rainbow must be playing the music but why?" Mason's phone goes off. "Who texted me? Oh, Kate texted me I wonder what she wants to tell me?" Mason reads the text out loud. The text said "Mason are you awake? If you are great because when Rainbow is awake without somebody watching her she flips out." Mason then scrolled down to another text. "Mason! Crap! You must not be awake right now well when you wake up text me if Rainbow is flipping out." Mason looked up and then back down to his phone. "I better text Kate..." Mason texted Kate, "Um...Kate...Rainbow is flipping out what do I do?" Kate texted Mason, "Oh shes actually flipping out!? Um... just do something she's looking forward to like getting cats from PetShort." Mason turned off his phone. "Well there is no way in foxes I'm getting a cat from Petshort I mean maybe if we get married but that's probably not going to happen for a long time...Oh I know! Ill start the experiment if I have the right ingredients and I should also stop the party downstairs." Mason goes downstairs to see no party happening. "Well hello, Masy!" Rainbow said. "Hi Rainbow I'm not going to question what was happening down here but I will ask you if you want to come down my house so we can start the experiment." I said. "Oh my god! Of course, I want to come with you hurry up!" Rainbow said. Mason Laughed, "Do you want to go in your little footie pajamas?" "I don't have time for this let's go!" Rainbow yelled. "Okay fine..." I said. Rainbow and Mason drive to Mason's house. (Mason's house up top) "Well, here we are!" I said. "Holy Moly! I can't believe that I haven't even been here!" Rainbow said. "I know it is kinda weird how you have never been here..." I said. "Yeah...anyway are you going to open the door?" Rainbow said with her head tilted a little. "Yep!" I said as I unlocked my door and opened it. "Okay, I'm going to see if I have ingredients to make a fox potion you just stay here and...now you're raiding my fridge." I said with my arms crossed. "What I didn't have anything to eat and you said we couldn't go to Starbucks because I couldn't have anything to drink or eat!" Rainbow said. "If I said that then why are you raiding my fridge?" I questioned. "I cant have water?" Rainbow questioned. "Yeah you can but that is not going to make you full..." I said. "Yes, it will I just hope I don't throw up from drinking to much water..." "I really hope you don't..." I said with a disgusted look on my face as I walk to my room to see if I have the ingredients.

(10 minutes later)

Mason runs downstairs. "Sorry to keep you-" "Why did you take so long!" Rainbow said. "I tried to find ingredients to make you a fox hybrid but I found ingredients to make you a cat hybrid." I said. "Okay, but why did it take you so long?!" Rainbow said. "Well I tried to find the ingredients for the fox potion but I didn't have the right ingredients..." I said "Okay well let's get potion making!" Rainbow said excitedly. I chuckled. "Okay let's start." I said.

(1 minute later)

Mason smiled. "Okay, the potion is ready! Thanks for using your witchcraft but do you really need your witch hat?" I said with my head tilted. "Yep!" Rainbow said with a giggle as she takes the potion.  "I'm going to drink the potion in 3...2...1!" Rainbow drank the potion.

Rainbow's POV

I drank the potion. "I don't feel any different...Mason do I look different?" I said. Mason was just staring at Rainbow. "Nevermind I'm going to a mirror." I said. Rainbow goes into the bathroom and looked at herself in the mirror. Rainbow screamed. "Oh my god! Look at my tail and my ears!" I said while jumping up and down. Rainbow runs back downstairs. Mason pulled out his camera. "Say cheese!" Mason said. "Cheese!" I said. Mason takes a picture. "Mason send me that picture." I said. "Okay!" Mason sends the picture to Rainbow's phone. "Rainbow how do you feel?" Mason asked. "I feel lazy..." I said. "That's because you're a cat!" Mason said with a giggle. "Now hurry up! Kate said were suppose to have a double date soon!" Mason yelled. "How about you hurry up and bring drive me back to my house!" I yelled back. "I should probably do that..." Mason said.
