Chapter 5: Relationship Trouble

Mason POV

Mason looked at Max, "It's like two hours before noon, so..." I said and then splashed Max with a big wave, and looked at Rainbow with a big smile. Rainbow smiles back at Mason."Welp looks like we're all swimming today! " Rainbow said."Yep." I said as I pulled Rainbow into the pool with me while Max and Kate just sat on the edge of the pool, shivering just a little bit. Rainbow swims to the top of the pool and gets out. "Mason, you know I don't like getting wet." Rainbow said as she had fake tears running down her face. "Rainbow." I said as I got out of the pool and stood next to her. "Come on." I said as I kissed her with my tail wagging happily. Rainbow kissed back but then pushed Mason into the pool. "That's what you get for pushing me into the pool!" Rainbow yelled. Mason softly laughed as he got out of the pool again. "Rainbow, let's not push each other in the water all day." I said and then looked at Max. Kate looks at Max, Mason, and Rainbow with a smile but Max didn't see her smile. Rainbow winked at Kate causing her to blush then looked back at me and said; "Yeah let's not push each other into the water."  after she said that she quickly pushed Mason back into the water. Kate and Max laughed at Mason when he fell into the water. "Sorry I won't do it again." Rainbow said with a giggle. Mason sighed as he for the third time got out of the pool. When he got out his tail curled around him. 

Rainbow's POV

"Rainbow, you're lucky that I didn't push you into the pool right now." Mason said and then sighed. Rainbow laughed. "Well, you're lucky I'm not pushing you back into the pool." I said. Mason smiled as he got up and held her hand. "Mhm." Mason hummed and then looked around. "Um...wanna do something else?" Mason asked. "Look at those two lovebirds..." Max said to himself and then playfully rolled his eyes and went to Kate on the edge of the pool. "Mason we could eat but we can't because you threw us into the pool and now if we eat our food would get soggy!" I said as I looked over at Max and Kate. 

Max's POV 

I walk to Kate. "Hey, Kate!" I said excitedly. Kate looks at Max. "Hey, Max..." Kate said. "Kate what wrong?" I questioned. "I'm just hungry." Kate said. Max softly laughed. "Kate! This was pretty much all our idea to come here!" I said. "I know but I could really go for some McDonalds!" Kate joked.

Rainbow's POV

Maon taps Rainbow on her arm. Mason sighed as his ears flattened then looked at Rainbow. "I was thinking about dyeing my hair and ears." Mason said. "Oh cool! What color are you going to dye your hair? I mean not to brag but I was born with this purple hair." I bragged. Mason rubbed his arm as his fox tail dragged on the ground. "I'm thinking of dyeing it black but my tail and ears will end in white." Mason said then smiled. I smiled. "Those are very great colors, especially if you wanna almost look like a border collie." I said then giggled. Mason playfully rolled his eyes and sighed. "Very funny." Mason said and then smiled as he held her hands. Rainbow looked down at her hands then back at Mason. "Hey, Mason wanna go set up our food while the lovebirds are going at it?" I said. Mason laughed and looked at them and nodded. "Yeah, we should" Mason said as he smiled. Mason and Rainbow go to set up food.

Kate's POV 

"Anyways Max for some reason I feel jelly that Rainbow has a boyfriend and I don't know why I feel that way..." I said as I was fiddling with her fingers. Max wrapped his arm around her. "It's alright." he said and softly kissed her cheek. Kate pushes max away and Max ends up getting pushed into the pool. "What the hell Max!" I said while blushing a dark red. Max swam to the surface of the water. "I was only trying to make you feel better!" Max told me in a yell. "Why would kissing me make me feel better!" I replied with a yell. Everyone in the waterpark was now looking at Max and Kate. Max sighed and got out of the pool. "It always seems to work whenever I do it!" Max replied. "W-Well ...nevermind. Let's just go help Rainbow and Mason set up the food." I said. Max sighed as he shook the water off him. "Yeah, sure, whatever." Max said and the sighed. Max and Kate go to help Rainbow and Mason set up.

Mason's POV

Mason held Rainbow bridal style as he was smiling. "Rainbow...c-can I tell you something when we are going home?" I asked. "Yeah you can but...you can tell me now and I really want you to tell me now!" Rainbow said excitedly as she was fixing her hair. "I want to tell you in private." I whispered to Rainbow. "So can I?" I asked. Max tried to keep his eyes off Rainbow and Mason so Max glanced at everyone walking by now and then. Rainbow sighed. "Fine Mason, but only because you want to tell me in private." Rainbow said and then giggled. "Thanks, Rainbow." I said and then softly laughed. "You're welcome." Rainbow said then kissed Mason on the cheek.

Kate's POV

"They look like they're having so much fun...I wish I could have that much fun..." Kate accidentally said out loud. Max looked at Kate and smiled. "Kate, it's alright, you'll find someone someday." Max said. "Thanks, Max and I want to apologize for yelling at you for kissing me on the cheek it's just that the last time I got in a relationship I was-was..." Kate looks like she's about to cry. Max put his hand on Kate's shoulder and nodded. "It's okay." Max said and then hugged her. "Max I just don't wanna live that moment again. I just don't." Kate said with tears running down her face. Max sighed and frowned sadly as he wiped Kates tears away. "Kate...please..." Max said softly. "I'm sorry Max it's just that I don't want to go through that again..." Kate said sadly. Max hugged Kate tightly. "I'm here for you." Max said as he sadly sighed. "I know Max...anyways wanna eat!" I said excitedly. "Yeah!" Max replied.
