stripped off

if i were to be
stripped off
of all
the things
i possess,
will you
still love me
the same?

if by chance
my voice
fades away,
and to
your melody
i can
no longer sing,
will you still
listen
to the way
my heart beats
for you?

if the time comes
when my sight
fails,
and i can
no longer see
your face
every morning,
will you still
sleep beside me
every night?

if it so happened
that i can hear
no more,
and your laughter
i cannot discern,
would you still
whisper
"i love you"s
in my ear?

and if my body
grows weak,
and i have
no strength
to kiss you back,
will you hold me
in your arms
instead
and stay with me
until i breathe
my very last?
