Eddie

It was just sad.

Everyone was pretending that it wasn't happening, but I couldn't stop crying. Even the weather was rainy and upset.

The losers followed Richie up to the airport gates and stopped at the lobby. Richie turned to us and shrugged

Richie: I don't know what to say... I'll miss you guys...

We all joined in a group hug, everyone still dry eyed.

Stan: come back any time!

Mike: yeah! You can stay at the farm!

Bev: or with my aunt!

Richie chuckled and pulled out of the group hug

Richie: I will... thanks guys, your the best friends I could of asked for.

Bill: once a l-loser always a loser...

I stood by Richies side and looked at the ground. He turned to me and swooped me off the ground, spinning me in a circle as he kissed me. He set me down and held both my hands

Richie: and I'll miss my Eddie Spaghetti the most

I smiled up at him as the tears began to flood my eyes. I pulled him into a tight hug and gripped the back of his coat. I cried against his chest and I felt a few of his tears fall on to my neck

Eddie: I'm gonna miss you so much...

Richie: I'll call every night... I promise

I nodded and stood on my tip toes to kiss him one last time. I held his face in my hands and brushed my thumbs against his freckles. I seeped down and leaned against his chest. Taking him in as it would be a while till I seen him again

Eddie: i love you...

My voice was shaky and I was sniffling like a child

Richie: i love you more sweetheart... I'll face time you right when I get to my aunts

I nodded and pulled out of the tight hug that I would kill to stay in forever. I looked up at his red rimmed eyes and wiped away my tears on my arm. He smiled and pulled off his hoodie, his orange one with a palm tree on the sleeve.
(of course, his favorite hoodie)
He put it on me and I smiled, it smelt like his cologne which I had grown to love

Richie: there, it'll keep you warm while I'm gone

Just as my eyes dried, tears flooded my eyes and my heart sunk. I hugged him again, standing on my tip toes to wrap my arms around his neck. He pulled me closer by my waist and let out a quiet sniffle.

Eddie: I miss you already

Richie: me too babe, but we can do this

I nodded and kissed him again, letting it drag on for as long as I could. He kissed my forehead and held my hand,

Richie: I have to go now

I nodded and stepped away, Bill put a hand on my shoulder. Richie grabbed his bag and waved to all of us

Richie: see you later, alligator.

Everyone: after a while, crocodile

As soon as he turned away we all broke down in tears. We joined in a big group hug

Stan: leave it to him to make his last words to us be
"see you later alligator"...

We all laughed and dried our eyes. Bev came up to me and hugged me

Bev: we know that this is the hardest for you. We are here for you, ok?

I nodded and hugged her back. Everyone joined around me and embraced me in a warm group hug.

My heart still longed for Richie... but I had my friends to get me through it

Eddie: ....and then Mike beat the crap out of Bowers!

Richie: hm, never knew that big teddy bear had it in him...

I chuckled and sat at my desk in front of my laptop camera. Richie was laying on his bed listening to me fill him in on the latest news at Derry. I smiled at him and fiddled with the sleeves of his hoodie

Richie: you're adorable...

I smiled again and propped my head up with my arm, resting my chin in my palm

Eddie: I can't wait to see you over break...

Richie: me too, only two months till Christmas break and I can see your cute face...

Eddie: and two months till I can hug you and hold your hand again...

He looked down at his bed sheets glumly and sighed

Eddie: hey... it's not too far away...

Richie: I know, I just miss you, that's all...

Eddie: me too... what time is it over there?

Richie: uh...2am

Eddie: crap! I'll let you go, you need to sleep

Richie: Okay, love you

Eddie: love you too

I blew a kiss to him and shut my laptop. I leaned back in my chair and finally let myself cry

I pretended to catch his kiss and closed out of the chat. I went to my other contacts and found the "S" category. The call rung a few times and a curly headed boy answered

Richie: I'm coming, are you ready?
