Just Friends.

The Phone Call

This call was strange. It was at 3am, and I didn't know the number. It was the person you would last expect to call you, Kelly. She was mad at how close me and Jake were, so she told me to back off. Eventually I told her to stop calling and get over him, but she didn't. When I told Jake about all of it he told Kelly he hates her.

For me! Why me? He said its because I was like a sister to him. Thinking about those words didn't settle me down. The meaning behind that is siblings don't date EVER.

Next day he came over I was honest.

"Jake, I cant do this. I mean it this time."

For once I saw his eyes have some tears in them. It makes them shine like diamonds, but it was for a wrong reason. He had been my friend for 4 months now and nothing has gone right. It may seem everything is going the same. He does some thing wrong them i forgive him, but maybe I'm doing everything wrong.

He showed at my school with a bunch of flowers and a present. It was July 16th which was my birthday. At this point we faded and didn't talk. I stop trying. I couldn't risk anymore pain then what I had. Somehow he found my locker. He didn't say a word, he just leaned in and gave me a kiss. No way did I ever think this would happen.

Now what happens?

Do we fall in love?

Have children?

Go on dates?

Those questions were answers. He gave me the present and opened it. The ring was as big as a balloon.

"I'll pick you up at 6 babe." He says smiling.

I guess you can say were dating. I knew if I stopped trying he would find out how much he needed me.

Jake knew I loved going in airplanes, so for our date a 6 we took a plane to Florida.

Are you kidding me? This boy is amazing. The plane we took was first class.

-Arrives at Orlando airport-

"Jake, i love you" I whisper.

"You too" He quietly says.

What does he mean by "you too"? I mean could he not say it back? Maybe I'm just over reacting because I mean he paid for me to go to Florida.
