Chapter 3

24 2 19

The sun was on the horizon and the sky was a mixed shade of orange and yellow. The sound of the sea waves crashing on the shore and of the seagulls flying above it.

What else could say a romantic walk along the beach at sunset more than this?

He was right next to her. Holding her hand and walked barefoot on the warm and wet sand along the coast.

She stole glances of his face which looked like the face she would have by her side when she sleeps at night and the first to see when she wakes up in the morning. She was in love.

Soon the sun went down and the stars were shining bright in the pitch black sky. And the full moon lit up their way as they felt the cold breeze on their face  and body.

No sooner than that, the champagne  hit them hard. And their speech was slurred.
She leaned on him to balance herself and her body brushed against his.

He stopped in front of her and the wave crashed on their feet vanishing their footsteps behind.

She looked up and saw his face in the moonlight and felt strange in her stomach. Her heart was racing as she figured out what happened next.

His hand came up to her face moved the wet stands of hair sticking to her face.

His hand wrapped around her waist as he pulled her closer.

She was seen the kisses in movie but never in her wildest dreams had she thought that she would have one of those cliché kisses.

She closed her eyes and placed her hands on his chest. She felt his heart beat with a pace similar to hers. Somehow it was soothing to her although she didn't know how.

She knew his face was close to hers as she felt his breath on her face. Their lips centimeters away from colliding.
She tiptoed her right leg behind and she was ready to kiss him.

And then.. They kissed

A passionate one which was exemplified with the beach and the sea and the stars and the moon.

She locked her lips and so did he.
The hear between them rose to the point where they couldn't control their desires anymore.

His hands started exploring her curves over her black dress.

They were drunk and and in love , or so she thought.

They made love under the canopy of stars and the moon right their on the sand next to the sea.

"I love you Rayna " his speech slurred.

"I love you too" she really did.

( 3 months later )

"Oh will you stop crying" her mom said to her," or else you will spoil the gown".

Her mom had tears in her eyes but she wanted to be storing because today was her daughters wedding. The  church was filled with people who had come to the wedding.

Her mom wiped her tears with her hanky and kissed her forehead.

"You look beautiful"she said to her.

Rayna smiled through her tears but she did look beautiful. In the white gown she had worn looked gorgeous on her.

She huged her mom and her mom huged her back.

" ladies, we have no time for it now! There is a wedding underway." Joseph said as he stick his head from the back of the door. He was the wedding coordinator.

"Ok lets go" Rayna said as she took a deep breath in.

They followed joseph down the corridor as Rayna's mom fixed her dress.

"Where is the groom?" Joseph said on his earpiece.

Rayna felt something strange.

She looked at her mom. Her mom gestured her not to worry.

As they reached the door the music started and everyone stood up.

Her mom walked her up to the alter down the aisle , where the father stood.

Everyone gaped at how beautiful the bride was and all eyes followed her as she stood at the alter.

She smiled at everyone .It was exactly how she had pictured it to be a million times ever since that day on the beach.

She looked at joseph who was now tensed talking through the earpiece.
He looked at her. His eyes had pity in them. She couldn't understand why.

Just then everyone started asking where in the groom?

Rayna felt like she was being choked. She was shaking at the thought of what now seemed like the truth.

Joseph went back and Rayna stood there in front of everyone. They were all talking and she heard the words that filled the air.

Joseph came back sprinting. She looked at him expectantly. But he had the same look on his face. He took his ear piece off. Just then she noticed a piece of paper joseph had in his hand.

He walked up to her. And gave the paper to her.

Rayna felt sick. She didn't want to open the paper. And kept wishing it was just a bad dream and would wake up any second in her bed. But it wasn't so.

She opened the fold and recognized the handwritting on it at once .

It was Tony.

Rayna,
I know this is the worst thing that anyone can do to a girl or any other person in that case. But I have no other choice. Don't take me the wrong way but I never wanted this to happen but... It just did. The truth is that I don't love you. And you don't either. We were living in this oblivion just because of that night we spent. But I can't cheat you by faking love.

I am sorry...

She crumbled the paper in her hands still not ready to accept the fact that she was now alone.

The world crumbled infront of her. She didn't know what to do , or think. Her tears were now in full flow.
She clasped the piece of paper in her hand as all the memories of him played like a montage in her head.

She looked at the faces of the people in front and her head spun. Everything was hazy now. And she collapsed.
