Vacations are over and  life has begun. The dreadful first week after the end of vacation is always painful. You want to fit right back into your curriculum but you can't because the vacation has spoiled you to your bones.

This phase lasts for about a week and that week is the living hell.

Waking up early rather than sleep in all day, sitting in the classes with 3 back to back lectures which is CBI level torture, going back home all tired but you can't lie down because you have coaching classes and at the end when you come back home, its already 8:30 pm and if you don't go through whatever you learnt, you would understand no shit the next day in the class.

In short, you are having a hangover but no remedy whatsoever.

This was exactly what Li was going through that day. She woke up just half hour before it was time to leave for college and missing the first day would mean writing another application why her stomach hurt !

But luckily , she managed to multitask her way through the half hour and reached college 5 mins late, which was superhuman kind of stuff! That's exactly what i said when she was narrating this to me. Though i found it really hard to believe. Because girls and  getting ready on time never , and i mean NEVER go hand in hand!

She ran down the corridor to her first class which was of chemistry.

"May i come in sir?", she said standing at the door of the room, panting.

"Come in" said the middle aged professor without even looking at who had come.

She quickly climbed up the gallery to the 5th bench of the middle row. The ferocity with which she used to jot down everything the professors used to say was impeccable.

"Where were you ?" Nisha asked who was sitting next to her.

"Just woke up late" she said nonchalantly . she was busy noting down to pay any head to it.

The chem class went by taking down 30 pages of notes with it.

"Phewww , i thought it would never" Nisha said stretching herself, let's go to the canteen"

"Yeah let's go , i haven't had breakfast either" she said and they got up.

"Did you see the new guy?"Nisha said as they were crossing the football field, the canteen was at the end of it.

" which new guy ?" Li asked her confused.

"The professor ofcourse!" Nisha said as she was utterly disappointed.

"Oh, nope i haven't " she said " which dept?"

"The English dept" nisha took her phone out, "here , this is him" she flashed the phone in front of Li.

"He is good-looking " Li said.

"Which planet are you from?" She furrowed her brows," he is like fricking god!"

Nisha had the picture as her wallpaper which was kind of creepy to Li but she decided not to say anything.

"Mayb he is..."

"All the girls are dying over him and the word around is that he is single too!"
Her excitement was actually amusing but it was not completely nonsense.

Prof. Raghuveer Chanda was indeed a hunk. He wore rectangle framed specs and his attire matched with that of what Mark Zukerberg rocks. Simple monotoned tshirt with a denim and woodland shoes but his carved muscle and sharp features sent arrows through the hearts of the girls. He was 30 but looked younger.  And yes girls were dying over him, even to the extent that girls had started to slip in letter through the little gaps of the windows of his car.

Li was not the kind of girl who would have crushes on prof but she was now curious and as it is said, curiosity kills the cat.

"2 egg patty please" said nisha at the counter while Li paid the money.

They sat at the far end of the table from where the field was completely visible.

Li fished out her phone and opened facebook. She ran a search for Raghuveer Chanda and back came the results. And the top of the list was him.
She opened her profile and scrolled through it. All of his pics were flooded with love reacts and he did look dashing.

Friend request sent.

"Hurry up it's time for the next class" Li said to Nisha who was in the bathroom.

"Coming!" She yelled back.

Li took a look at her watch and felt restless.

"Ok let's go" Nisha said as she came back.

Li gave her a look and they ran back to the next class. It was physics.

Li was a little excited about it because in this class she met her bestfriend!

Thankfully the professor wasn't their yet. She let out a sigh of relief. Quickly looking through the gallery she spotted him waving at the from the 5th bench.

She went up and sat on the spot that he has saved for her. It was their usual thing.

"So where the hell were you?" He asked her sarcastically.

"Dont ask. i think Nisha has seriously got a bladder problem" she rolled her eyes.

"Haha! Mayb she does" he looked at Nisha.

"By the way, have you heard about the new professor ?" She asked him"Raghuveer Chanda, English dept".

"Yeah what about him?"

"Nisha was saying that all girls are crazy for him" she tried not to sound like Nisha," And he is so handsome too"

"Oh"

She noticed his expressions change a little.

"What?" She tried to look in his eyes.

"Nothing..." He averted his gaze from hers.

The professor entered just then and she couldn't continue but if she had continued then no force on earth would have kept her from making him talk.

"Hey! Wanna go out for movie today ?" He whispered .

"Which movie?"

"Annabelle?"

The professor looked back and shot a look at them and turned back to the board.

"Owk . what time?"

"5 :30 pm , i will pick you up"

"Done but your are paying for the popcorn and drinks "

"As if you ever pay" he gave her a look from the side of his eyes and a smirk on his face.

Li found his face too adorable to throw a comeback. Instead she bugged him with her leg below the desk. And they went back to mugging.

After college was over Li came back home. Fortunately todays coaching was off. She laid down on the bed and felt herself melting into it. She was making scenarios about the evening with her bestfriend and the movie because anything done with him is always fun.  And soon enough she dozed off.

Her phone was on the bed right next to her and its screen lit up.
