A 4 years old Shindou Hikaru is an active child who's attitude is what you would see in other children.

So when he was introduced to the computer, gaining an interest to the latest
technology he decided learn more about it.
By the age of 8 he was already able to hack into different sites, but Hikaru being the oblivious child he didnt know that hacking into some sites are actually illegal, that is until when he saw a news regarding about hacking and that some may lead to outcomes such as being in jail.

Hikaru decides to just stick into games and just cheat on them, soon Hikaru got bored of that so he just plays with his friends doing childish parkour and stunts which whenever Hikaru goes home his face would always have some bruises and his mom berating him about the dangers of parkour.

So Hikaru's life revolve around the computer and parkour, that is until when he visited his grandparents in need of money cause his mom told him if he continued doing parkour and not study she wouldn't give Hikaru any allowance.
Well Hikaru's thankful that his mom didnt take his computer, but still he can't handle the fact on not having any allowances, he wont be able to go to the arcades and eat ramen with his friends.

So Hikaru entered his grandparents shed and started searching for something to sell.
Hikaru saw an old small table with a 19 x 19 grid, which Hikaru remembers his grandpa using another one of this table in his living room and that he called it a "Goban".
Everytime time Hikaru would visit his grandparents, his grandpa would always force him to learn to play go, but Hikaru would always sputter words telling his grandpa its an old mans game, which Hikaru recieved a hit at the head from his grandpa for belittling his favorite game.

So Hikaru takes an cloth and started cleaning the goban hoping he would be able to sell it for a high price since he sometimes saw in the internet how expensive gobans was. Hikaru started to get irritated cause he couldn't remove the blood like stain from the goban, when unexpectedly he hears a voice and the goban emitting a light revealing a man with long purple hair wearing an eboshi hat and an old heian period clothes.

Hikaru was then engulfed by darkness.
