The Shadow Plane
Magiciens:
A particular dark Fae with powers of manipulation over energy to create 'magik'. A Magicien's power resides not in an object, or within its body. The source of their power can only be found in the air and earth around them and cannot be harvested or collected. The magik can only be absorbed if another Magicien stabs the victim in the right atrium and consumes half a litre of this blood. Although it is a misconception that all Magicien's wear capes, many personally prefer to keep their faces hidden as they have extreme sun sensitivity.
Ananse:
A shapeshifting spider said to be the origin behind all stories, Ananse should not be mistaken a harmless creature. The Ananse can turn the tables on even the largest and most powerful of its enemies using trickery. One should never attempt to enslave Ananse for they shall find all their children, and their children's children will be sold into slavery by the time they reach 16 years. However, Ananse can also assist those who are placed into slavery. If one speaks a tale written by Ananse, they shall find their captors asleep within the hour and the cage unlocked.
Bubak:
The Bubak is a scarecrow looking creature with the ability of voice mimic. It cries like a child to lure adults to their deaths. One must be warned when walking past a cornfield if they hear a baby's cry. When refused a meal, the creature may follow you home and take up residence in your yard until you give in to the cries. To stop the Bubak, one needs to find it another meal. While another person is ideal, the Bubak will also settle for a beloved family dog.
Abarimom:
These creatures have backwards feet, but are able to run extremely fast. Relatively un-harmful creatures, they thrive off fear and uncertainty. One of their biggest hobbies is to chase after young children, especially bullies, and circle them until they begin to cry. They lick the tears for sustenance.
Baubas:
Like the boogyman, this creature hides in cupboards, under beds, and in the dark corners of children's room. With red eyes, they are sometimes confused with headlights in the window. It watches over children and if it misbehaves they kidnap it. Once taken, the child is brought up until it learns to fear everything and thus becomes a more reliable student.
