Invisible hands claw at my mind,
Dragging me into despair.
Making me think I'm alone,
Or that no one seems to care.
But I'm supposed to stay strong,
How can that be?
When everyone is silent,
Seeming to ignore me.

Tears knock at the back of my eyes,
Begging to be let out.
I try to ignore them,
But then they scream and shout.
They burn and slash,
Jump and punch.
I think I'd like someone to talk to,
But I guess that's just a hunch.

I think that no one listens,
No one wants to hear.
Hear the thoughts inside my head,
Or the secrets I hold dear.
I look around and see an empty room,
Reminding me that I'm on my own.
I'd call someone just to hear their voice,
But I can't find my phone.
