One wrong step

One wrong step,

A lonely grave.

A quick trip to hell,

On the back of a knave.

This is the price,

Of a step off the path.

A glimpse of true anger,

The face of wrath.

-------------------

One wrong step,

It all falls down.

Everything you built,

Wearing your golden crown.

All your hard work,

Comes crashing to the ground

Broken treasures,

Waiting to be found.

--------------------

Some things are sacred,

Some are not.

Some things cause strife,

Our souls call it rot.

Hope slides from my grasp,

Like grains of sand.

Love turns on me,

Biting at my hand.
