I'm sorry, my friend

Can you forgive?

When sins are vast.

Ways are flawed,

From a bittersweet past.

But can you forgive me?

My eyes are open,

I can see,

That you are fair and true,

You are my family.

Brother and sister in spirit,

Holding up arms,

Against our foes.

I'd like to do that once more,

By your side.

So, if you forgive me,

Can we pick up our swords?

And cut down everything that threatens us.

I know I've treated you wrong,

So let us begin anew.

If only I could have seen earlier,

How I was abandoning you.

Tell me, sister,

Why have you forgiven me?

Am I really worth saving,

Or do you crave what we used to be?
