(y/n)
Time for my final class. English went by very fast, and I'm really looking forward to cooking! Sure, I may not be an ultimate cook or whatever, but baking homemade treats earns friendship points any day...
When I arrived in the classroom, I recognized a few classmates from my talent class. Teruteru, Fuyuhiko, and Nagito. There was one seat left at their table, so I took the last remaining seat at their table.
"(y/n), be prepared to have your mouth blown away." Teruteru said with a wink.
"I would expect no less from the ultimate cook."
I then turned to Fuyuhiko.
"I'm surprised that you took cooking as your elective. Is there any specific reason you choose cooking?" I questioned.
Fuyuhiko looked annoyed.
"All the other electives were filled up, okay? It's not like I wanted to take cooking or anything." Fuyuhiko explained.
Totally lying. But, since I don't want to embarrass him, I'll follow along with his charade.
"And you Nagito? What inspired you to take cooking?"
"Just had a feeling I'd have some good luck here. That's all. No specific reason." Nagito explained.
So... His Luck brought him here? How interesting...
"Alright class! Let us begin! My name is Miss. Shizu, and I'm the ultimate Meal Maker. Now, I know that isn't as impressive as our own ultimate cook, but I will do my best to teach you all to the best of my ability." Miss. Shizu explained with a smile.
She seems nice.
"Now, I want you to work with your table to create something to demonstrate your ability to see where you are. Teruteru, would you mind sitting this one out so your tablemates can try without a master chef's influence?" Mrs. Shizu instructed.
"Sure thing madame."
"Great! You have until the end of this class. Begin!"
Fuyuhiko looked bored, and insulted at the thought of having to work together.
"I'm not helping. You do it by yourself." Fuyuhiko stated, before going to work on his own thing.
... Guess I'm working with Nagito all by myself...
"So, Nagito, what should we make?" I questioned.
"Whatever you want sounds good to me." Nagito answered.
... Not very helpful Nagito...
"How about cookies? They are pretty simple." I suggested.
"Sure."
Nagito and I then stood up and began to prepare the cookies. I did my best to remember the amounts for the ingredients, but I'm pretty sure we messed up.
"Whoops!" I heard Nagito shout.
Oh no... What's going on now?
"Nagito, what happened?" I questioned.
"I poured some lemon extract in instead of vanilla." Nagito explained.
... Crap...
"Well... We don't have time to worry about that. Let's just put these into the oven, and hope for the best." I said, before separating the cookie dough (which looked yellow), and placed them onto a pan to go into the oven.
"I'm sorry (y/n), I really am-"
I raised my hand to slap him, which shut him right up.
I gave Nagito a reassuring smile.
"No need to worry about it. This isn't for a grade or anything, so you're just fine."
"If you say so..." Nagito's voice trailed off.

Soon enough, the cookies finished, and we took them out to cool.
Oh dear... They look even worse than I expected.
Fuyuhiko, who was nearby, saw them, and gave an utter look of disgust.
"What did you do to those things?!"
This only made Nagito frown even more.
"Something we can fix. Come on, let's get some vanilla frosting." I instructed, before rushing to find some of the ingredients.
"What are you thinking (y/n)?" Nagito asked.
"I'm thinking we add vanilla frosting to it so it'll look nice, and then add a cherry on top like the ice-cream at restaurants." I explained.
Nagito's eyes lit up.
"Great idea!"
Nagito and I then rushed around to put the frosting together for the cookies.
Just as we finished putting on the last cherry, time was up.
"Let's see what we have here. Teruteru and I will be the taste-tasters." Miss. Shizu explained, before walking around the classroom.
When Teruteru and Mrs. Shizu walked up to us, they looked a bit taken back.
"Nagito and (y/n)... What did you make exactly?" Miss. Shizu questioned.
"Just try it." I said, doing my best to hide my nervousness.
Both of them looked nervous, before trying the cookies.
Their faces turned to a face of delight.
"This is quite delicious. Great job you two!" Miss. Shizu praised.
"I agree 100%!" Teruteru added.
This made Nagito and I smiled.
"See? Your luck to pour the lemon extract saved us! You're amazing, Nagito!" I praised.
Nagito seemed flustered after hearing that.
"T-Thank you, (y/n)..."
I smiled.
"Anytime!"
Hello! Hope you're still enjoying the story! Later! =^-^=
