jimin's room, jimin's room..

third hallway, fifth door on the left. opposite of hoseok's room.

yoongi pulls the little girl with him as they make their way to jimin's room with silent, cautious steps.

he still clutches the lighter tightly in his fist, if he lost the lighter, the plan might as well fail. that's how important burning down the place was in yoongi's opinion.

despite trying to be as quiet as possible, the sounds of their footsteps echoing the hallways was the only thing that could be heard as they neared their destination.

"they're all gonna be in jiminie's room, right?" yoongi slightly jumps, startled at the sudden whispering in his ear, he turns to glance at the little girl.

"yeah, we just need to get them and help tae and joonie out."

not more than a few moments later, they stand right outside the familiar wooden door, body stiff as they examine the blood surrounding the area right where they stood, another glance and they conclude that the blood isn't old, no. it isn't old.

the little girl glances worriedly at yoongi, however yoongi does not return the look and instead, tightens his grip on her hand as he pushes open the door. hopefully this would be the second to last time, the last being when they all finally escape and slam the door of the orphanage closed, sealing their memories away.

as soon as the door opens, the little girl takes her hand away from yoongi and bounds into the room, "kookie, minnie, seokie, jinnie~ it's time to leave~" the little girl says with a smile playing on her lips, the lights were switched off and before yoongi could tell her to slow down and wait, she trips.

haeju feels herself mentally stiffen, she knew. as stated earlier.. she knew something horrible was about to go down, she tries to take control of the little girl's body, to walk right out of the room and force yoongi and the little girl to leave. if the others were alive, then they wouldn't have hung out in a room. maybe the whole reason haeju was brought here was to stop the little girl from dying? but how? she has had no control over anything and it didn't look like she was going to any time soon.

the little girl trips over something and falls straight to the ground with a whimper. "you should've waited! let me find the switch..." she pouts at yoongi's scolding and remains frozen on the ground, waiting for room to be engulfed in light.

when the light switches on, the little girl wished it hadn't.

she stared straight into the lifeless eyes of none other than jeongguk.

a mangled scream tore it's way out of her throat as she pushes herself onto her knees, her breaths coming out short as her vision becomes blurry with tears and fear.

she ignores yoongi calling out to her and instead focuses on getting away, only for her hand to land on something fleshy.

slowly turning her head towards the direction of where her hand landed, her voice breaks as she stared at the thing.. no the person she had tripped over to begin with.

jimin laid right at the entrance, on his stomach, it looked like he had tried to crawl away from something, judging by the dry tear tracks on his cheeks, eyes closed.

haeju suddenly feels the need to let out a frustrated scream, and she let it out, knowing either ways, nobody would hear-

another scream erupts from the little girl as she retracts her hand, yoongi running over quickly to grab onto her before she witnessed anything that she shouldn't have, although it was too late.

jeongguk's head was bashed in, right from the back. blood streamed down his face and body, skin white as paper as he lays, unmoving, staring at nothing in particular.

jimin's legs were bruised and broken beyond repair, they barely looked like legs anymore and a trail of blood was left from where he had attempted crawling to the door.

"y-y-you said they'd be fine..." the little girl mumbles, hugging herself tightly, as her eyes move around frantically, desperate to avoid reality, desperate to disappear, desperate to leave.

"i-i... i thought-..." yoongi's voice comes out in a broken whisper, maybe.. maybe if he brought them to the hospital they'd be fixed too? he knew hospitals fixed everything, so they... they still stood a chance, right? it's just a matter of carrying them all out..

suddenly, both of them freeze at the sound of muffled talking, glancing at each other with tear-glazed eyes, they immediately shut the door and run towards the bed to crawl underneath it, not taking any more chances.

the little girl whimpers at the sight of a bloodied hammer that she pushes aside to make more space for her and yoongi, and they both wait silently, hands over their mouths to suppress any more sounds from escaping.

"..make it.. far.. dead.. petrol.." the sounds of the muffled talking was getting closer and closer, and the door to jimin's room slams open, familiar boots coming into view.

yoongi feels both himself and the little girl start to shake tremendously just at the sight of two pairs of legs coming into view, and fear strikes them as a voice calls out.

"i know you're both here.. come out, come out wherever you brats are~"
