I'm gonna try to finish this book pretty soon, maybe a few more chapters or so? (Super sorry for the delay, and the fact that it might not be the best :/ and it's kinda short)
-------
"Evan, you have to go to school, dude. Come on, I'm worried about you." Tyler nudges my shoulder as I lay buried underneath my covers. "I know you don't want to, but you have to, dude."
"I got played, Tyler, I got fucking played. Let me wallow in my misery." I snarl, pulling the sheets tighter around me. What did Tyler know anyway? He didn't know what it felt like to be played like I did, to spend these past few years waiting for Lui to take his shot at you? Then, when he finally does, you're actually not expecting it and you realize just how stupid you are for thinking you were safe.
"Ev, don't do this to yourself, this isn't you, Evan, please just go to school. We're worried about you, I know you haven't left your bed. You need to eat or shower or something, dude."
"What's the point?" I ask from underneath the blanket. "What's the point in going to school, in living my life if what I want is never going to be mine again? How do you find a point when there's none left?"
"Evan, Lui didn't know you guys were dating, it wasn't his idea."
"I know, Tyler. But he was the one who told Craig to get his revenge for him."
----------------
"I feel so bad." Jonathan says, looking up as Evan's friends walk into the cafeteria, Evan himself no where to be found. He sinks further into his chair. "This is all my fault."
"Hey, it's not all your fault." Lui says, speaking quietly and also glancing over to where Evan's friends were sat.
"Exactly, stop trying to take all the credit." Craig says from he's sat next to Lui, staring at him intensely. "You can feel bad all you want, though, that's on you. But don't think for a second you're the only one at fault here, I didn't do all that work for nothing, now did I?"
"Why are you even sitting here, Craig? Haven't you done enough here?" Marcel snaps from where he's sat next to Jonathan, rubbing his back to comfort him about the situation.
Craig rolls his eyes, pointing to Lui. "We had a deal."
-----
A camera snapped the photo, capturing the scene the boy had seen in just a few moments. He holds his camera, reviewing the picture. His eyes widened as his suspicions were confirmed.
The lunch bell rang.
Nathan caught a glance of black hair, listening to the obnoxious laughter of the boy and his friends, missing one member. He hung his camera off his neck and dashed towards Evan before he lost him in the after lunch rush.
"Evan!" The boy says, gripping Evan's jacketed arm tightly, causing him to look with confusion. "I have to talk to you." He looked serious, so Evan nodded.
"See you guys later." He says to his friends as he lets the younger boy drag him away.
It only took a few minutes to find an empty hallway.
"Holy shit, that fucker." Evan whispered, looking at the picture that showed Craig and Lui shaking hands. His eyes narrowed. "Huh, should've known it was about time. It's always one of your own." He looks up at the boy. "Did you hear what they were saying?"
Nathan tilted his head. "Uh, I think Lui said something about Craig getting revenge for him or something?"
Evan's eye twitched, but he looked calm. "I see," he handed the camera over, but grabbed the boy's arm before he could leave. A plan was already beginning to form in his head.
"Could you print that out for me?"
