When I had arrived to Hogwarts, I couldn't stop thinking about the kiss. Maybe it was a mistake he made. Did he really thing I was "absolutely beautiful?" My mind went back to reality when I noticed an elegant carriage with six white charging Unicorns. As soon as the carriage landed, a small boat peaked out from the Black Lake. The small boat suddenly grew bigger and bigger, ripping fiercely through the dark waters. Every student raged with excitement to see the visitors.
The school finally walked into the Great Hall. As I sat with Harry, Ron, and Hermione, I couldn't help but notice a certain Hufflepuff staring at me from across the hall. When I made eye contact with him, he turned his head to his friends.
"Phoebe." Hermione had waved her hands in my face, seeking attention.
"Phoebe, did you hear what I said?" I snapped out of thought. "Um...sorry. Can you repeat that?" I asked as I took a bite of my warm fluffy mashed potatoes. "I said are you alright? You've been quiet the whole ride." Hermione pried. "Oh yeah. I'm fine. I'm just not used to a big school like this. Illvermorny is smaller that this." I explained. Hermione gives me one last look before she decides to leave it alone. "Phoebe, what are your thoughts on the rights for elves." Hermione suddenly asked. "Well...I believe that every elf and magical creature should be treated equally. And elves should have the right of whether they want to work or not." I give her my full opinion.
Hermione's face lights up. That is why I have organized a campaign called Society for the Promotion of Elfish Welfare. S.P.E.W. for short." Hermione proudly states. "Would you like to be the first member?" She pulls out a sheet of parchment with S.P.E.W. written on the top. "Of course. I would love to join." I say. Hermione reaches over, handing me a quill. I sign my name in cursive.
Hermione and I continue talking about Elves until he Headmaster begins to speak.
"Now that we are all settled in and sorted. I would like to make an announcement." Dumbledore's voice vibrates through out the hall. The doors slowly creak open. An old man runs down the isle. "This castle will not only be your home this year, but home to some very special guests as well. You see Hogwarts has been chosen-." Dumbledore begins but the old man whispers quickly in his ears. Dumbledore nods and sends the man back. "So Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event. The Triwizard Tournament."
Students buzz with excitement. "And for those of you you do not know. The Triwizard Tournament brings together three schools for a series of magical contests. From each school a single student is select to compete. Now let me be clear. You stand alone. And trust me, these contests are not for the faint heart, but more of that later. Now please join me in welcoming the the lovely ladies of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and their lovely Headmistress Madame Maxine!"
Suddenly the wooden brown doors open reveal beautiful girls dress in lavender silk dresses. They strutted and sashayed gracefully into the hall. The girls let out a melodic sighs as they passed each house. They broke into a ballet. Purple butterflies fluttered around them making them even more beautiful. A tall women followed behind. As they finished their dance the hall applauded for their beautiful performance. Some boys may have applauded a little to much though as for Harry gave a standing ovation.
Dumbledore silenced everyone and raises his arms for attention. "And now our friends from the north. Please welcome Drumstang and their Headmaster Igor Karkaroff."
Young men entered the hall in red suits and marched together as they bangs their staffs simultaneously. They yelled out to the beat of the staffs. The men swung theirs staffs around and then broke out into a run. One even did a break dance and shot fire from his mouth.
Suddenly Victor Krum marched into the hall. He wore a stern and determined face. "Blimey, it's him. Victor Krum." Ron gushed. The hall once again applauded for the welcoming of the new foreign visitors.
The feast continues. Everyone enjoying theirselves and conversing on their summers.
Without warning the ceiling start thunder storming. Shouts and cries yells out. I put my hands over my head using my hand even though I know it won't be much use for me staying dry.
Before it can rain even harder. A strange man hobbles in the Great Hall. He shoots his wand out to the ceiling calming the rain. Everyone quiets down. The man limps down the aisle. His false eye looking in every which way. He pulls out a flask and gulps the liquid down. "What do you suppose he's drinking?" Seamus teased. "Whatever it is, let's just say it's not pumpkin juice." Harry announced. Dumbledore goes over to the strange man. They hug and greet each other like old friends.

The hall buzzed with talking students. I didn't really care much for the Tournament. I believe it was an unsafe contest that put people in danger.
"So Phoebe anything new with Cedric?" Hermione suddenly asked. My face lit up with shock. I looked across the hall to Cedric and back at Hermione. "Um...well." I say but cut myself off. Hermione leans in. "What? Tell me." She pried. I look around making sure no one was listening to our conversation. "Um...well, remember when I went to change back on the train?" I say. Hermione nods. "Well after I left the bathroom. I kinda bumped into Cedric. He told me, and I quote; that I was "absolutely beautiful." Hermione eyes widen. "And then he kissed me." I add. By this time, Hermione was jumping in her seat. Student gave her strange looks before turning back to their dinner. "I told you he likes you." Hermione said. I rolled my eyes. "It was just one kiss. He probably thinks it was a mistake. And I don't know if I have feelings for him. I only spoke to him a handful of times." I sigh. "Don't say that, Be" Hermione says giving me a nickname. "Trust me. He likes you." Hermione puts a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "I hope you're right." I whisper.
After a few moments Dumbledore gets everyone's attention again. "Now for a few word from Crouch."
I noticed the man from the World Cup. "The Ministry has concluded, that for their own safety no students under the age of seventeen will put forth their name for the Triwizard Tournament. This decision is final." Crouch explains.
The Hall breaks out in angers "That's rubbish!" Fred and George yell out.
"Silence." Dumbledore shout. The Hall grows quite. "Eternal Glory! That is what this Tournament offers. You will be known as a hero and a champion." Dumbledore waves his hand to reveal a beautiful blue Goblet. Blue fire dances and illuminated on Dumbledore's face.
I look over at Cedric. He seemed intrigued. His grey eyes focused on the Prize. I could tell he wanted to enter his name. I didn't know I was staring at him for so long until he looks over at me. This time it's was my turn to look away. I look at my hands. As my cheeks turn red. I quickly look back up. Cedric gave me a big smile, this time waving at me. I shyly wave back.
A few moments later, Dumbledore send everyone to bed. Hermione and I get up from the table. I follow her down the hall. As I turn the hall, I am suddenly pulled into a broom closet. I struggle against my attacker's grip. A light is flickered on. I let out a breath of relief when I noticed it was just Cedric.
"Hi." He gleamed. "Hi." I whispered. I rocked on the back of my feet awkwardly. A few seconds pass before I speak up. "So are you thinking of entering the tournament? You seemed intrigued by the contest." I state. Cedric looks shocked by my question. "Um...yeah. I really want to." He says. I nod. "That's good. You have ambitious." I say.
"Well, yeah. I just actually want to make Hufflepuff proud. I want people to know that Hufflepuff is more than just being kind and modest." Cedric explains. I nod. "So, I guess I'll see you tomorrow maybe?" I say. I open the door, but Cedric quickly shuts it. I give him a confused look. "What?" I kind of was getting annoyed with him not letting me leave.
Cedric looks down. He opens him mouth but quickly shuts it. He seemed to be struggling with what he needed to say. "Um...about the kiss." Cedric says. My heart beats fast. Oh no. Was I right about how Cedric feels about the kiss. Does he think it was a mistake. "I just wanted to know if I was being to forward?" Cedric says. I push some hair behind my ear. "Um, maybe a little." I let out a nervous laugh. Cedric seemed to be disappointed with my answer. He doesn't say much but a simple "Oh."
"It doesn't mean that I didn't like the kiss. I just meant maybe you put yourself out there to soon." I explain.
I open the door but before I leave. I push myself up to his cheeks and give him a kiss. Cedric is shocked but he smiles at my action. "See you tomorrow." I wave goodbye and leave Cedric dumbstruck.
