Waking up on Thanksgiving Day is the best feeling. The smell of turkey, baked macaroni, and dessert filled the house with amazing and comforting smells.
I pull the sheets off me and skip to the bathroom. I put on a dark pair of jeans with a green sweater. I tie my curly hair into an elegant bun. Lastly I add my gold necklace with a "P" engraved into it.
I go into Bella's room. Bella is so sweet. Even though she is too young; I still believe that she is the next future witch of the Devereux family. She's sleeping. I shake her body. Her eyes flutter open, revealing her big brown eyes. Her curly hair was a huge mess.
I quickly got her dress. We both go down stairs. She's resting on my hip.
Once I make it to the Family Room; I spot Cedric, my uncle, Grandpa, and my Dad watching Football. Cedric seem to be intrigued and fascinated with the American Muggle sport. I walk over to the couch. I take a seat by Cedric. His eyes are fixed on the T.V.
"Good morning, Cedric." I smile. I put Bella in my lap. "Good morning." Cedric says without leaving his attention from the game.
Suddenly my dad and uncle break out into yells. "GO. GO. TOUCH DOWN!" They exclaim. I playfully roll my eyes. I decide to go into the kitchen to help cook. "Cedric, watch Bella, while I help cook." I ordered.
I leave the room and head to the kitchen.
Mom, Renee and my Grandma are cooking as they talk amounst themselves. Lewis is sitting at the table eating a bowl of cereal.
"Can I help y'all?" I say as I put an apron on. "Sure." Mom said as she cleaned the turkey.
I wash my hands and start on the baked Macaroni. "Tell me about your handsome boyfriend, Be." Grandma smiles. I look down trying to hide my blush.
"Well he's in the Hufflepuff House. Which means he's very nice and modest. He's Caption of the Quidditch team and he's a prefect. Which is kind of like a student hall monitor. And he's also one of the champions for the TriWizard Tournament this year." I explain. Grandma puts her hand to her chest. "That's sweet, Be." Grandma says using my nickname.
"He also thinks I'm smart, funny, and beautiful. In that order." I added.
"As he should." Mom speaks up. My mom is a very loving and caring woman. She excepts anyone for who they are. My mom is very beautiful. She has curly brown hair like mine. And her skin is a golden bronze color. And her eyes are this most intriguing green color with warmth and comfort. I wish I had her eyes. But I ended up with my dads boring dark brown eyes.
I give my mom a hug. "I love you." I whisper
"I love you more"
"I love you most"
"I love you more than most." Mom says smiling. She always won at these.

We all sat the table around six in the evening. Dad sat one end and Grandpa sat at the other end. On the left side of the table was Mom, Uncle Nigel, Aunt Renee, and Grandma.
On the right side sat Lewis, Bella, Cedric and I.
"Alright everybody hold hands, bow y'alls heads, and close ya' eyes." Dad says in his thick southern accent.
We grab each other's hands and bow our heads then close our eyes.
"O' Lord we thank you for this food that we are about to receive. We pray for this meal. For health and good seasons. For joy and for happiness . For friends and family. For luck and for love. We are blessed with abundance from below and above. In Jesus's name we pray. Happy Thanksgiving, Amen." Dad finishes.
"Amen." We all day together. Cedric immediately digs into his food. He takes a big scoop of the collard greens. "Your so cute." I whisper to him.
"Muggle food is so delicious." He moans as he puts another bite of food into his mouth.
"So Cedric what do you plan on doing after you graduate from Hogwarts?" Dad asked.
I roll my eyes. "Dad don't grill him." I snap.  "I'm not, Be. I'm just making small talk." He surrenders.
"I plan on becoming and Auror." Cedric told. "And What May I ask what an Auror is?" Dad continued. Cedric looks to me then back to my father.
An Auror is Law Enforcement of the Ministry of Magic. Aurora basically catch the evil witched and wizards." Cedric explained.
"Is that a dangerous job?" Grandpa chimed in. "I thought y'all said you guys weren't gonna grill him." I rant.
"Call down, Phoebe. I swear you are just like your mother. So stubborn." Dad laughs. Mom hits him lightly on the shoulder.
"It can be dangerous. But I think I will be safe." Cedric speaks up.
"I'm a witch too." Bella cooed. I look over to her. "For Halloween I had a wand and broom." She explains. I giggle at her cuteness. "Bella, you can be anything you want." Aunt Renee gushed over her adorable daughter.

After we finish Thanksgiving dinner; Cedric and I decide to go into town. I take him to the Lafayette Cemetery, which is a very popular tourist place.
"This is Marie Laveau's grave." I point out. Cedric walks up to the marble stone tomb. "Who was she?" Cedric asked. He ran his hands on the cold walls.
"Marie Laveau was a practitioner of Voodoo and Dark Magic. Many people are surprised when they find out that she was a Catholic. She was a witch who study witchcraft. Marie Laveau was my Great Great Great Great Great Grandmother." I finished. Cedric's eyes widen.
"What? That's crazy." He exclaimed. "It's not. It explains why I'm a witch." I look back to the tomb.
"You're probably wondering why there's so many marks on her tomb?" I asked.
"Um...yeah. Why are there so many?" Cedric says. He walks up to me and hold my hand.
"Well, if you make a mark on her grave she will grant you a wish." I explained. I bend down and grab a black rock with my free hand.
"Make an X on the stone." I says. Cedric takes the rock a cross and X.
I let go of his hand. Now spin around three times, close your eyes, make a wish, and clap once. Only once." I command.
He slowly spins around. Closing his eyes as he takes a deep breath. Cedric lifts his hands and "CLAP."

Dear Cedric,
I allowed you to see my family tomb. But you ended up in yours.
