The next morning I woke up eagered to spend the day with Cedric, even though we were practicing for the tournament.
I dressed in a pair of light blue jeans with a white shirt. I stare into the mirror. I couldn't decide on how I wanted my hair today. After a few moments of just pulling on my curls I eventually decided to leave it out.
"Hey, Phoebe. Where are you going so early?" Ginny asked. She had just woken up. She rubs her eyes and steps out of bed.
"Um...Cedric asked me to help him with the tournament." I said. I sit on my bed and put on my white sneakers.
Ginny jumps up and down. Her red vibrant hair swayed from left to right. "I knew Cedric liked you." Gushed Ginny. I give her an awkward laugh. "Well I hope you're right." I tell Ginny.
Her eyes grow big. She hops onto my bed and crosses her legs. "So you like him?" Ginny leans in for answers.
"Yes. I like Cedric." I whisper. "Yes! I knew it. Can I tell Hermione?" She asked. "Yes. You can tell Hermione." I laughed. I get up from the soft bed and grab my wand and a spell book. "Cedric's probably waiting for me. I have to go." I give Ginny a hug and walk down to the common room. I see Harry sitting by himself. His nose deep in a book. I sit in front of him. He didn't notice me. After a few minutes I pull the book down. I am greeted with Harry's big blue eyes. His round glasses  hang a little of his nose.
It's been two days since I talked to Harry. I take his hand in mine. "How are you feeling?" I smile. Harry lets out a sigh. "Not great. Everyone thinks I put my name in, including Ron. I never asked for this." Ranted Harry.
"If it make you feel any better; I believe you." I say. "God must have put your name into the Goblet for a reason. God can only give you what you can handle." I say.
Harry looks at me astonished. "That really made me feel better, Phoebe." Harry says. I smile.
"Well I have to go. But remember to not be mad at Ron. He probably just tired of being pushed back all the time because he has many siblings." I add. Harry nods.
I slip out the portrait. Cedric told me to meet him in an empty classroom. I finally make it to the classroom. The room smelled of damp wood. Cedric smiled once he saw me.
"Good Morning. Are you ready to practice?" I asked. I pull my wand and book out. Cedric nods.
"Okay lets start with a friendly duel." I open my book to a page of spells.
"Go to the other side." I pointed Cedric in the direction of the call board.  "Okay, remembering spells are easy, but reacting and blocking is what the tricky part is." I explained.
"Wow, I've never thought of it that way." Cedric says.
"Well I hope one day I can become a teacher. I really want to teach Charms." I explained.
Cedric and I get into a dueling stance. I give Cedric a nod, signifying that I was ready.
"Confringo."
"Expelliarmus."
"Petrificus Totalus."
Cedric and I block and say spells. I quickly block a curse. "Stupefy!" I shoot. Cedric flies farther back. He hits the ground hard. "Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed. I rush over making sure he was okay. He pushes himself up. "Don't be. You're good at this." He says. I rubs his head. "Why don't we take a small break. Is that fine?" I asked.
"Sure." Cedric stands up. I follow.
"I like your hair." Cedric blurts. I looked at him shocked. "What no. Don't say that. It's ugly." Explain. I always hated my hair. It's was so big. Cedric steps closer. He pulls on a curl then lets it go. It bounced back to its shape.
"That's not true. You're hair is gorgeous." He says. I hide my face so he doesn't see the blush on my cheeks. "Thank you." I whispered. "Cedric stares into my eyes. "We do a lot of staring." I joked. "Um...yeah. I guess" Cedric laughed.
"You know we really haven't talked about that kiss." I say. I lean my arm on the wood table. "We're friends, right." I asked. "Of course."
"Then why does it seem like you want  to be something more." I asked. "Well I was going to ask you something." Cedric says nervously. "Oh yeah. And what might that be." I say. I step closer to him. I'm so close to him that if I move anyone would think we are conjoined twins.
"Phoebe Devereux, will you be my girlfriend." Asked Cedric. Did he just asked me to be his girlfriend? I didn't know what to do. I never had a boyfriend. After a few moments I finally speak up. "I will only be your girlfriend if you promise that you will come along with me to New Orleans in two week." I say.
"I would love to come with you." My smile grows wide. "Then yes, I will be your girlfriend." I push myself up and give Cedric a quick kiss.
I grab my things and rush off to my dorm.

They say your skin cells create new one every two weeks. Which means my lips won't have any memory of kissing Cedric, but my brain will.
I laid flat on my bed all night. I couldn't think of anything but Cedric. My Cedric. I was excited and nervous about him meeting my family. What if he doesn't like the Muggle celebration.
I push myself up and grab my favorite book off my bookshelf. Everything, Everything. I read this book a million times and never get tired of it.
I lay on my stomach and cross my feet. Reading was probably my favorite thing in the world. Enjoying the story and getting lost in the world.
