*Hanji's POV,*
I was sitting in the mess hall with Levi and his squad, out of the corner of my eye; I could see Sasha Braus, also known as Potato Girl stealing Connie Springer's food while he's talking with Reiner Braun and Bertholdt Fubar about something. We finished the examination two hours ago, my research team has already gone back to the Survey Corps' HQ.
Thinking back of what I saw back at the dungeon sends shivers down my spine. I was so sure that Annie Leonhardt looks exactly like the woman in my dreams.
"Squad Leader, you haven't touch your food yet." I snapped out of my thoughts and looked up, I saw Mikasa Ackerman, also known as A Soldier Worth a Hundred Soldiers, was pushing Sasha away from my plate. I'm guessing she was about to steal my food when I wasn't even looking. When Mikasa asked me, all heads on the table immediately turn to my direction. Ugh! Here we go again.
"Oh! I'm just not hungry that's all." I pushed my untouched food towards Sasha, "Here, you can have this." She looked at me as if I was her savior all of a sudden.
"Thank you Squad Leader!"She said before scarfing down the food like she hasn't eaten in days. How could she eat so many and yet not gain a single weight?
"Sasha please, at least eat properly when someone gives you food." Christa Renz, also known as The Goddess of the 104th, scolded.
"Leave her be Christa, if she chokes on her food its her fault anyway." Ymir, the tallest of the women in the 104th, retorted beside Christa.
"Ymir! Don't say that!" Christa said angrily. By golly these two are a perfect match made in heaven! Ymir laughed out loud and said in a teasing voice, "You know, you look very sexy when your mad. Gimme a kiss will you." She slung her arm around the blonde's shoulders and puckered her lips, attempting to get a kiss. But before she could have a score, Christa headbutted the tall brunette under her chin. Ymir let out a painful yelp, who wouldn't, when you accidentally bit your own tongue while someone was giving you a headbutt. A very hard headbutt.
I laughed when I saw Reiner standing up, attempting to punch the living daylights out of Ymir, while Bertholdt was trying his best in restraining him before he could seriously hurt someone. Everyone at the table laughed at their antics, except Levi. I immediately stopped laughing, my smile was replaced by a scowl. Levi has been looking at me nonstop, ever since we came out of the dungeon and into the mess hall. Even when he can clearly see my scowl, he still didn't stop staring at me. I slammed my hands on the table, everyone went quiet and looked at my direction. Its a good thing that we are the only ones in the mess hall. I looked at Levi and glared daggers at him.
"What the hell is wrong with you Levi!?" I asked, my anger is pouring out now and no one can stop it.
"You've been staring at me all day now!" I could see his squad's attention was directed to me.
"You still haven't told me yet." He said. What? What is this shorty talking about?
"Excuse me?" I asked, clearly confused.
"Your nightmare." He answered bluntly. Shit! Just when I thought he won't bring it up again! Damn it!
"I told you Levi, it was just a stupid nightmare."
"Yeah, a stupid nightmare that kept on haunting you for the past three months."
I sighed, he's not going to give up, isn't he?
"Fine, I'll tell you." I said, completely exhausted to argue any longer.
"It's this wo-" I was suddenly cut off when a strong gust of wind blew out all the torches in the mess hall, it was strange for a gust of wind to enter when we're underground. With all the lights out, we were left in total darkness, just like in my nightmares. I couldn't see a thing, but I know that everyone was still here with me.
"What the heck!" I heard Eren said. Luckily, Armin managed to light a candle, I could distinguish every single one of them. Every one was panicking, wondering why that had suddenly happened, but what made me tremble in total fear; was the familiar voice that kept on screaming in agony.
"How could you!" She shrieked. Her voice always sends cold shivers down my spine and made my palms sweaty. I knew that everyone also heard the horrifying scream. Everyone, except me, looked around the room in search of the sound. I was frozen in my place, I couldn't move a single limb. Why is she here!? I thought that she only haunts me in my sleep, but in real life!? This is just crazy! This is-
"Hanji!" I heard Levi call.
I snapped out of my trace and looked at Levi, his face shows that he was worried.
"We need to get the fuck outta here! NOW!" He said to everyone in particular. We all nodded and immediately went towards the door, I was in front of everyone and was first to reach the door, but when I reached for the door, I felt something wrap around my neck; tightening, tightening, tightening. I reached up to grab whatever was on my neck but, the only thing I caught was my own flesh. I was choking and losing air really fast. I could hear Levi and the others yelling and telling me what's wrong.
"Hanji! What the fuck is going on with you!?" I heard Levi yelled.
The pressure around my neck was too much, my knees buckled; my legs were losing their strength. I doubled over and hit the ground, as soon as my hands and knees touched the floor; the pressure around my neck disappeared. I took in greedy gulps of air, desperately trying to get some sweet oxygen back into my lungs. I was close to regaining my composure, when I heard her again.
"Why!? Why did you break your promise!?"
